if you are speaking in all seriousness by concern of what can happen a/o protection of the rest, you could too blur the face of each photo or the Torn Nick/ID.

As someone mention, internet is so wide, and despite the protection of data analysis that torn might have, you are putting in risk the integrity of the people, by putting them in evidence. Regardless that they took the photo and uploaded it the past year, I doubt they gave you authorization to use their content for this. (despite your good intentions)

Still, is a bot, I have not given my consent like I did to Torn Stats or Torn Tools, to use my information, and is not only shared on a third party site, but is shared on Discord Therefor, goes against T&C of Discord.

Is not that we request API Nerfing or restrictions, but actually make script makers accountable of their creations. An "End term user agreement" or something. With TornTools or TornStats it can be solved just resetting our API, but with discord bots. they can pull api here and there and not ask others if we are agree to be data banked or not.

Besides, and this as direct question to you or to boogie, is not it that if they are using the torn API, in a 3rd party application, they should respect Discord T&C? if so, there is a issue if we are many users no agree with our information being share. Is a matter of Discord Team, of course, but by extension Torn is envolved.

Cheaters exist. Period.

That is a fact, in Torn and in other browser games. People without actual real life that likes to spend hours and hours in how to broke up the Casino, how to broke up the crimes, how to bypass the stock limits and even so, how to use the API to their own personal benefit. As someone with more than 14 years of torn experience since you are the creator should know how human mind regarding cheating works.

However, harboring them, because they finally managed to use a legal tool to keep gaining benefit while skirting the rules, just to "prevent a cheater epidemic", Is not a quite solution. Because we are already suffering a cheater epidemic, every day that pass we have more members in this community, messing around waiting to have more benefit by ignoring rules. However there is no real cheater solution. You already have enabled Cloudfare protection, as far I know, it allows to detect ilegal userscripts done in tamper monkey, and similar. And I know Boogie spends hours hunting multies and cheaters, as well other staff members.

Perhaps that? Human vs Human? More staff dedicated only to check the increase of scripts, and API pulls and push? Nerfing the API what only will cause is some delays in apps like TornTools and TornStats, Torn PDA, YATA, and beyond. But perhaps causing delays, would also give a gap of oportunity to those who we oppose to the" API skirting rules", Being open to the dialogue as you mention is fine, I am happy with it too, but I understand both sides, I do not condone people insulting the staff or questioning the judgement, but at same time, even if is correct, I find rough say "Unsuscribe all you want" or like the other time "Take your money to other place", is a good way to solve problems.

What I find irritating is the increasing amount of salt and trolling, and I could start reporting posts for flamming against the staff members, however as you already saw all memes and stuff, would be a futile report action. But that attitude of people would not solve the issue.

The cheaters are among us, mocking at us, while they skirt the rules, and instead of us, as users helping the staff to reach a compendium, we are just reaching to the non-sense to make drama over drama over drama. And the first step to stop cheaters is to stop both (Staff and users) fighrting one each other, and answering like if we were 10 years old.

I mean, if given a chance, some people would cheat to get ahead. Look at the number of multis that get caught regardless of the rules.

But if people do data scraping for the purposes of mugging, it would be blatantly obvious and trackable.

Problem with this mate, is that I am totally sure, that the 95% of total players Actually reads the rules and the terms and conditions of Torn.

Yeah Ignoring rules does not make an excemption of it, and perhaps there is where Ched's answers lately are out of place, But if lately everything that the staff does is being under offensive review, why does they even care to answer politely? Is their game. That they might be funded by players, yeah, but they decided to do so, they were not obligated.

Mate, do not feel obligated to even play or not, and not saying it with salt. As well do not feel obligated to suscribe. Whatever you do with your money is your thing. I support you by the fact that script kiddies are ruining the game just for the lolz of making money, but heck is virtual money. Since they cannot suscribe they want to do the billions that suscribers has.

But making a drama over a browser game, idk, I feel it out of place. What I indeed repeat, is that staff should be open to dialogue, but real one. But again I understand staff, if the dialogue will become into a negative agressive offensive critics.

TornTools already has this, stakeouts of people when is out of hospital or is getting back ftom travelling.
