Have a graph showing faction respect changes over time in the same style that we can view stock price changes over time.
Have time options of 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, and all time.
Have the graph appear on the faction home page for the faction you are in and on the page of factions you're not in. Have the graph based in it's own expandable and collapsible box area.
EDIT - Decided to re-think the graph time options I said originally (as seen above) to avoid having too many data points on a graph. Now suggesting time options of:-
last 30 mins with data points for every minute (30 data points)
last 24 hours with data points for every hour (24 data points)
last 7 days with data points for every 4 hours (28 data points)
last 30 days with data points for each day (30 data points)
last 26 weeks with data points for each week (26 data points)
All time with data points for each 3 months (maximum of 4 data points per year)
Looking at it from the opposite point of view, it would be unfair to those that have put the energy in to progressing through Duke's contracts with the intention of progressing on to other agents.
Those that chose not to use as much as energy as necessary to make maximum progress with Duke's contracts have made their choice, and if they do not get access to Amanda then that could not be described, even slightly, as a punishment on them.
Those reaching level 100 get 4 merits - 2 honour bars, a level 100 medal and a rank medal. I'm not convinced of any need to give further benefits exclusive to those at level 100.
Why does it matter if the number of people at level 100 outnumbers those between levels 90 and 99? Why does it not seem right?
We don't have a pyramidal hierarchy where there are limits on the number of people being able to attain a particular level, based on being fewer than the number of people at the level below that particular level.
It used to look like I had more than 25 weapons (actually 29) at maximum weapon experience but that turned out to be a lie and the truth was I had fewer than 25 weapons (only 16) with that qualification.
Several attacks later and I've brought the count back up to 25 so now I can be one of the few to have achieved the, as of now, latest merit.
The 25: ArmaLite M-15A4 Rifle, Enfield SA-80, Jackhammer, Mag 7, Minigun, Swiss Army SG 550, Tavor TAR-21, XM8 Rifle
BT MP9, Fiveseven, Magnum, Qsz-92
Diamond Bladed Knife, Dual Samurai Swords, Flail, Ivory Walking Cane, Katana, Kodachi Swords, Macana, Metal Nunchakus, Naval Cutlass Sword, Pair of High Heels, Pillow, Plastic Sword, Yasukuni Sword
Almost no one (including those that could be described as passively racist) except the monumentally stupid thinks that the religion or ethnicity of rapists, or their victims, is of any importance.
"And with some research, 75 CPR in BtB might mean the threshold for 105 nnb? 65 CPR = threshold for 100nnb etc."
I too have 75 CPR in all BTB roles but have 100 nnb, although I expect I am currently much nearer to 105 than 100. So a nnb based CPR threshold theory is probably not accurate.
"10m R in 6.75 years might be a record? I'd love to know if anyone else has beaten it anyway."
You know, if there was something like a viewable faction respect graph for every faction you might be able to make a better informed guess as to whether you have a record or if not how close you might be to the record holder.
For those 2 exact same jobs I used 1 gasoline and flame thrower to ignite and did no stoking and got to 43% damage on both. If there was any RNG involved I may have scored a duplicate or there may be some other, possibly non-random, variable(s) in the damage calculation.
EDIT:
Saw I had another Suburban Home job, Fight Fire With Fire (under50% damage requirement), and used the same 1 gasoline and ignite with FT combo with no stoking and it did only 27% damage. No dampening either. This seems to support the case that variance applies for some reason.
I find it is really good to use and use it many more times than a lighter. After unlocking it yesterday I have used FT about 20 times and have had 1 regular fail with it and no critical fail so far.
In further speculation I have to wonder whether FT weapon experience is a factor in the quantity of success outcomes in using it. If so those with more experience may get fewer non-success outcomes than those with less or no experience. I have 100% weapon experience in FT.
If that turns out to be the case for FT then it may also be the same for use with Molotov Cocktails as well.
Just unlocked using the flamethrower today and noticed that my flamethrower ammo, litres of fuel, decreases with each use.
Compared to the wind proof lighter it produces more building damage. On a single area icon building while using only 1 gasoline with the WPL would do about 41% building damage was done but using 1 gasoline with the flamethrower did 78% damage.
In usability terms it's a step backwards. You have to scroll more to be able to see the same information that was viewable in a more compact space. I expect that's much more of a chore on a touchscreen device as well as on a computer monitor.
Being able to see a progress meter is better than not being to see that but when you have completed many more merits than you have yet to complete that's not much of a deal to be impressed with.
I would prefer to have the look of the previous awards page with progress meters than have this newer design.
I speculate that improving driver CPR on Stacking The Deck is best done by succeeding in a driver role on lower level OCs.
I think using Racing skill as a component in a driving related role in any OC is disappointing. Skill in car racing is not identical to car driving outside of race conditions. Rate of gain of racing skill through race activity is absurdly slow relative to crime based skills.
You and me have almost the same CPRs - your CPR is 1 better than mine or the same as mine in all cases.
My battle stats are about 1.5 times yours in every stats. Regarding work stats, I have 1.5 times your manual, similar intelligence and about two thirds your endurance.
Regarding criminal record, I have higher counts in fraud, illicit and cybercrime but not by much, and we're equal on vandalism. You have significantly higher counts on theft and counterfeiting. You have more busts than me but not by a great amount (I'm about 1-2k pre nerf).
I have same NNB. I think general crime experience is the main factor and I'm not convinced that battle stats and/or work stats have much bearing on CPR scores - maybe to a certain point and then not.
I suspect organised crime experience from OC2 will be a bigger factor in pushing up CPRs than anything else, more so than general crime experience after getting crime skills to 100.
I think there should have been a separate announcement for implementing experience gain/loss for OCs.
Having loss of CE is not so much of an issue if we get an idea as to how many successes worth of gains are needed to cancel out the loss from a single jail, hospital or injury fail. Having confirmation that fails without jail, hospital or injury produce no loss would also be helpful.
I joined an OC with a CPR of 68 and have completed my individual planning in it, but have noticed my CPR went up to 69 for the same role in another OC waiting on recruits. Surely the CPR in the pending OC should go up as well. Is that a display bug?
Our faction had a team get "Good End #4" with engineer and both pick locks jailed at the end. Expect there's a random element in who gets left behind with a pick lock and/or engineer with the hacker being the only team member guaranteed to not be jailed among the team.
Among the stats, my stat for most simultaneous graffiti is over-counting my actual amount by 100 - saying 5353 when it should be 5253. It is not because I have previously been higher. The count is increasing on each success outcome I have.
UPDATE EDIT - Graffiti count stands at 5260 aggregating all 7 areas but the total in stats now says 5359 - an over-count of 99 now.
UPDATE 2 EDIT - Graffiti count at 5320 but total in stats for most simultaneous graffiti now says 5410 - an over-count of 90 now.
I have slumped from 18th place last time to the fringes of the top 20 this time.
I can't possibly care about this while karma, in reality karma received, is included in "player diversity" rankings. Maybe if there was a way to track karma given that could be justifiable as being included in the rankings. Karma given is an activity in Torn while karma received is not.
Looking at my stat information I have gotten 19,217 credits over the amount I had 12 months ago. Without LOS benefit I would have gotten 80% of that amount - 15,373.6 credits.
So in my case the difference amounts to a benefit of 3,843.4 credits over the last 12 months. Additionally I have positive equity in the stock benefit block so there has been no drawback to buying in to it when I did.
