Working in health care has taught me many terrible things about diseases and human suffering. I have seen families with diseases such as Huntington's that have a 50% chance of passing it on to their offspring and many of the family ended up in long term medical care as they slowly died terrible deaths. Unable to eat or communicate and their bodies burning massive amounts of calories due to the constant movements that they had no control over. Ignorance is bliss sometimes.

God is a man made belief system. The bible was contrived based on the beliefs of many religious ideas from in the past.
How could any rationally thinking person believe there is a god that created everything. But decided to sacrifice his son (a son he created from a married virgin woman) to go through agonizing death only to join him up in heaven as a sacrifice for our sins? That makes no sense. Also, if you don't believe in god you will burn in hell for eternity. However Christian religion isn't even very old. All other humans born before Christianity are going to bun in hell? How is your god good and just? And if he is why not end suffering? Why allow it? A good god would not allow suffering.

I am in my early 40s.I was a teen Mom. I graduated with an 8 month old. I married at 19 to my current husband and baby daddy. We struggled many year in the beginning. Often with me working part time and taking care of our kids. I worked at a day care center for a few years, working in a grocery store as a night stocker for a few years. Was a stay at home Mom for awhile. About 12 years ago my husband was struggling and we had started a side business but he couldn't quit regular work and expand the business. When my youngest was old enough for school I decided to help work full time so he could quit his job and focus on the business. I took some nursing aide classes. Got certified and began working at a long term care facility. I worked my way up and now am in administration. I make good money. I have been employed for 12 years now. Our business has expanded into two companies also. We are both very busy and have gone from low poverty to middle to mid-high upper class. Our kids are doing great, two are adults now, one at home. My husband was a HS drop out and I have had no college education. We hope to retire early and live part time in a camper so we can travel around.

Young people are not fully developed enough to make this choice in a rational matter.. The frontal lobe development isn't there. It is really hard to comprehend that life can ever get better when you are young.
I would only advocate for someone to do so given proper education, counseling and exhausting any methods to make change or if there was an incurable disease or health condition that made their life one of misery and suffering.

I can only share my opinion as someone who lives in the US.
I think we are crumbling as a society. Our government is failing. We have lost our "world leader" status, even if it was BS., Mainly due to greed and allowing the 1% to destroy and control the narrative. People get into politics to become more powerful or be puppets. Not to make a better country. Other world leaders see how weak our government is or deranged the leaders are and they are working to dismantle us from within. The average people do not want war. Do not want to fight for a bunch of rich greedy pricks. Our inflation is skyrocketing, while our wages are not keeping up. College Education is becoming a one way ticket to life long debt. Health care is for profit, not healthy people. Our food and water is toxic. The infrastructure is failing. Our society is on the verge of collapse and the countries that wish to see us fall are waiting to swoop in and finish us off. Can't blame them with the enemies we have made. I think we are going about our lives not realizing how poor our predicament is. Meanwhile we are placed against each other in an effort to weaken us and keep us just strong enough to be modern day slaves. I think it's a matter of time before we have a full on societal collapse. I am tired. I think many of us just don't even care anymore. Tired of trying to survive, tired of planetary catastrophes, tired of sending our kids to school only to be offed by another messed up kid/adult. We are the only species on the planet that has to pay money to survive. We are living lives that go against our nature.
