Everyone I have told this to, from Year 1s to Year 17s, and they respond with "really?".

I honestly think what he said wasn't even that bad TBH.
He didn't even "beg", he asked.
You know, when a situation arises like this, people joke around because it is an unsettling topic.
People believe they are going to say something noble, or meaningful but 9/10 they don't.
When my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer last year, and he told me and the family, you know what I said? "So I guess you're going to start cooking meth now?". Why a Breaking Bad reference? Because, for the last 2 years, I introduced him to BB and Better Call Saul and we always talked about it. He laughed. He passed away last month on the 12th May. RIP
I feel like everyone started bashing on Ram_Ranch and didn't even see Roundhouse's response. For all we know, he may have taken it lightly and laughed it off. But everyone already determined it was insensitive to Roundhouse.
I do not agree with what Ram said in his follow up comments, but I think it was more out of retaliation from the angry responses than being a "troll".
Just my two cents.
