How do you increase your maximum energy in Torn?

Donator status is the only thing in these sources that raises the maximum energy bar. The wiki says donators get a higher maximum and quicker regeneration^[1]. Point refills and items fill the bar or go over it, but they do not raise the maximum^[2].

Donator status

The wiki's hunting page advises having donator status because of the higher maximum energy and quicker regeneration^[1]. That page was captured in September 2021, so the exact effect may have changed since.

A Donator Pack adds 31 days of donator status and 60 points when opened^[3][4]. The status is temporary and has to be renewed. A $5.00 USD donation gives a Donator Pack worth 60 points, and most players buy points on the Points Market instead^[5].

The sources give no exact wiki figure for the donator bar. A 2019 player guide, not in this pack, put it at 150 instead of 100, with regeneration of 5 energy every 10 minutes instead of every 15. The Donator House text of that time promised +50% regeneration, and one player measured about +33%. Treat these as player reports, not current documentation.

Refilling or exceeding the bar is not raising it

• A Point refill fills the energy bar up to its maximum, once a day, and does not raise the cap^[2].
