What TornLife has verified
- A staff member (bogie, 2015) said job points do not transfer to a different job, but they remain stored for the old job if the player returns. Job points never disappear; they wait to be used. (confirmed by Torn; Switching jobs - Job points, )
- Points are kept per company type. Moving to another company of the same type keeps them (e.g. 10 points in a sweet shop stay when moving to another sweet shop), but not when moving to a different company type. (confirmed by Torn; Company › Job Points, )
- The wiki (2025 capture) says job points are transferable between companies of the same type, are stored for each company type, and are not lost until spent. (documented; Company › Job Points, )
- The wiki job page, captured July 2025, has tables for Casino, Medical, Education and Law. The tables give the required stats, stats gained, pay, job points, points for promotion and job special for each position. The captured text does not contain the table rows.
