What TornLife has verified
- The Torn Wiki says a player name is changed in Preferences. The login name cannot be changed. After a change, another change is blocked for 3 months. (documented; Preferences › Name / Email, )
- Acquiring an inactive player's name costs 200 + (50 x their level) points, which the wiki gives as between 250 and 2,700 points. (documented; Preferences › Name / Email, )
- The Torn Wiki says a new name can be at most 15 characters and may contain only letters, numbers, dashes or underscores. Discriminating names will be deleted on sight. (documented; Preferences › Name / Email, )
- To take an inactive player's name, the owner must have been inactive for 75 days + (25 days x their level), which the wiki gives as between 100 and 1,325 days. (documented; Preferences › Name / Email, )
