I've never really understood why Torn bank isn't like an RL bank ie you have a current account where u can deposit and withdraw money as and when you please, you can also open a savings account where you can earn interest as is done with the bank atm, this way everyone can keep their dollar safe not just PI owners and company owners....is there another reason that I'm missing?

In my opinion, the idea of the game is to make it so folks have some level of risk. As a person evolves in the game, there is an assumption that he will increase his net worth as long as he is a good manager of his assets. A vault only lets a person store so much money before it is full. An owner of a company can only store so much cash in the company, before she sets herself up to lose a lot by getting hacked. So even those with a PI and a company could still have money in their wallet. Even though someone with a lot of money might have more options to safeguard the money, he also might have more to try and deal with so perhaps it still leaves him a bit vulnerable. Those who run a faction and allow their members to bank in the faction, most likely also has a banker or two in their faction that they trust with the keys to the castle. So there is a level of risk involved with running the faction and storing money there as well. Also. if one could put money in the bank as in RL, then one would probably have to be limited to the same restrictions a bank has, either needing to go to the bank during business hours to withdraw very large amounts of money and having a limit of how much could come out from an ATM. And then there is the whole reporting of very large deposits... There are all types of little nuances that banks would add to the game if one wanted it to be more RL... and this is a crime city... so the banks here are a little shady too.. they don't report to the IRS when one deposits a couple billion in the bank. They don't send out 1098 forms when they pay millions of dollars in interest to a person. They don't charge fees either. Ugh! there are al sort of trials involved with a RL bank that torn residents don't have to worry about.
