So do any of you have any weird phobias? I have a very intense phobia of copper money, I can't have it around me, I find nothing more sickening than someone who walks into a room and empties their pockets on the nearest available surface. I think it comes from when I was a kid because in Ireland there isa tradition on Halloween of making curly kale and potatoes and your parents would throw all their lose change in it and copper coins always seemed so dirty to me so the thoughts of eatinga penny (hate that word)by accident paranoid me so much I was afraid to eat so now a days I can't even walk into a room if there is a penny on the floor, when I was a kid my parents use to use it as a way to keep me out of rooms in their house, if they left copper money around in a room I'd literally stop functioning when I seen or smelled it (copper money has a really intense smell to me). It has this really weird effect on me where if I'm to close to it my brain just shuts down and I can't touch money like Euro coins if they have touched copper coins unless there is somewhere where I can wash my hands, I'm f**king obsessed about washing my hands after touching money lol

LSD [883567]Vinegar. If someone eats a pack of salt and vinegar crisps or has vinegar on their chips, i can't even be around.

My other half can't be around butter, she can't even say the word without vomiting, she has no idea why it's just always been like that for her and I've had 3 ex's so far who couldn't be around balloons, massive paranoia that they were going to explode in their faces so they all wouldn't go to parties unless they were promised there would be no balloons there

Damn there are some weird ass things people are scared of lol! One thing I can't stand to use though not a phobia though. The shopping baskets at your local shopping store. They are covered in Fecal matter, proven fact.

I would insert link here, but the paste option is not functioning in torn forums again. Just do a simple Google search and you will see 72% of buggies tested positive for fecal matter and and 50% tested positive for E-Coli.

Now go grocery shopping again and tell me you don't think about that!

Forget trollies and baskets how much fecal matter do you think is on the change they give you? it changes hands probably 100 times a week and no one f**king washes it, some coins are 14 years old and have never been washed, imagine how many hands they have passed through, imagine how many pockets they have been in, imagine how many hard ons it has been close toobefore they give it to you.

It's not so much a phobia (because I think it's warranted) but when I was younger I was terrified of cows. I'd feel uncomfortable driving past them and if I ever had to walk through a field with a cow infestation (which is fairly common in English countryside) there would be a good chance of me freaking out and needing to run away. I'm not too bad around them now but when I was little it was a big fear.

I say it's not a phobia because they're big f**king animals that could hurt you if they charged. When I was young, I was little and the prospect of 20 cows running down a field after something or someone had spooked them really didn't appeal to me.

Also, they have the devil's eyes.

Dogs. They scare the shit out of me. Doesn't matter what size. I've had to fake it lots in front of people and in front of dogs themselves, cause well, no one really gets it and when you say you're scared of dogs they try to make you touch them and stuff and f**k that.

I'm getting better. My gf has two dogs and I take care of them during the day. Like I feed them, take them out and talk to them. But I don't touch them, hardly ever. Every now and them I'll pat them on the head or when the big one is in a really good mood I'll let him play with me and when the little one is in a good mood i'll play with her too, sometimes. But yeah. Dogs. Scary things.

In my defense I was very badly attacked by 2 large Alsatians who were guarding a neighboring friends house. I was 5 and me and my best mate wanted to go visit. We went in not knowing the owners weren't home and the dogs attacked me. My friend had to run over to get his mom who was finally able to separate the dogs from me. They bit every part of me and I had blood coming down my face. Apparently I started wetting the bed again after the incident, and I was simply terrified of dogs afterwards. Plus where I grew up dogs are "haram" aka were on a similar level to pigs, although not quite as bad, so I had a great excuse to fully avoid them most of my life.

And then I fell in love with a dog lover, and well, new challenge and lessons for me in overcoming old fears and prejudice and what not. Lots of change for me. I'm not as scared these days, but I only like her dogs personally, although I still get scared of them at times, but I don't hate all dogs to the same extent as I used to and can now empathise with someone who has dogs and loves them.

I'm the opposite, I have absolutely no fear of dogs no matter how big or vicious they are, when I was a kid (about 5 years old) our neighbours dog even attacked my brother and instead of running away crying like most kids would I jumped on it and literally bit half its ear off and spit it out I swear lol the neighbour had a micky fit and started demanding that my parents paid the vet bills for it but my mum, beinga typical Irish mammy, told him to f**k off or she'd put the dog down herself lol Dogs generallyhave a phobia of me.

I had an ex who was afraid of feet. And when I say she was afraid, she thought that everyone's feet would eventually detach themselves from the body, become sentient and kill her in a targeted foot massacre. She was completely bonkers though, so that might explain it.

And what about her own feet? I mean like it's not like she can get away from them or anything. She probably spent all her time paranoid that they were following her everywhere lol

My cousin has Omphalophobiawhich is a fear of belly buttons, i thought he was full of crap at first so i tormented him abit then i looked it up and found out that people do really have a fear of belly buttons 0.o.

My co worker has 2 phobias globophobia (balloons) and Astraphobia (fear of lightning and thunder) boy did he scream and cower in fear the other day when thunder came rolling in we had to blast music so he couldn't hear the thunder.

For myself i haven't found anything that i'm afraid of besides heights but i can handle heights but it has to be super high up and basicly i'm just afraid of slipping off and dying.

She quite often got me to wash her feet when she was in the shower/bath. She'd freak out if she had to touch even her own feet. If she wasn't in the shower or whatever, she refused to be barefoot. Even in bed, she made me wear socks and freaked out if our feet ever touched.

Horses. They scare the f**k out of me. Especially the wild ones where I live. I swear they could bite a massive chunk out of your skull.
DrZed [237786]

Mannequins are scary. I always had a hard time going to the clothing store. Still do, they are going to come alive and kill you or worse.
Here in the U.S. people seemed not to understand the fear. Though in England I am sure there are a lot more people that are scared of them.

I used to be scared of earwigs but they do not seem to bother me anymore. When I was little my sisters would always say that they are called earwigs because they crawled into your ears and burrow into your brain and eat it.

Those talking Taco Bell trash cans were scary as well.

I hate clowns too, it's not really a fear more just when I see one I get an intense urge to punch them in the face lol
1035358 [1035358]
Silent-Rage [193964]I'm like that with clowns.

Oh, and dolls. I always feel the need to turn them around so they're not looking at me.

Oh shit yeah me too, my mum has loads of those porcelain dolls from the 50's that are all dressed in Victorian clothes and they creeped me out big time as a kid, hate the f**king things
