It's easy to call them a waste of money. But it's mainly the people that can't really afford them that say that.
In reality they can't be a waste of money, since it's the players that create the price point for them.
The 40k respect that FTW lost yesterday. I'm sure that cost them a few bill in energy/meds/hassle.
