not everything is about race. the world is a complicated place with many intricate reasons why things are the way they are. so in my opinion the reason black and whites have this 'issue' is because people like you continue to say they do. where is the white vs Hispanic argument, Asian vs black, black vs Hispanic (a HUGE issue in Detroit btw), Arab vs black etc? they don't exist. why? it doesn't sell newspapers or TV time that's why.

I seem to recall that you are into farming, and you can leave that out of the equation: the carbon footprint of that, rightly belongs to consumers, and not the producers.

I know people who would get shot by a cop and just get pissed. He would charge the cop to kill him. It goes without saying he has anger issues. It is CRAZY what people with anger issues do. How is it so unbelievable this kid got mad at a cop for stopping him for no reason then losing control and started threatening the cop, so the cop felt threatened and did what he had to do. This is the first time he fired his weapon. He should be fired, not thrown in jail.

I'm not a racist in any way, shape, or form, white or black, you deserve to be shot if you pose a threat to the police. Whether accidental or not, do not f**k with cops, do NOT make yourself a target. They make mistakes because they're human, they have one of the most stressful jobs in life and if you dare tell me that surgeons don't make mistakes and kill someone every now and then, you're wrong. The only difference is that people don't accuse them of murder.

It's a high risk, high stress job, mistakes are unavoidable. It'd be nice to bring down the numbers of accidental deaths in law enforcement, but when the people keep fighting the peace keepers, it's inevitable. This is the world we live in and although racism might play a part in it within officers that were raised that way, I can personally guarantee that no cop goes home feeling good about killing a man because he's black unless he's seriously f**ked in the head.

Badge or not, murder is a heavy burden to carry nor can most people justify it, especially after the actual deed is done. If these cops are killing people because they're black, it's because they're mentally ill, not because they're cops. This whole racism bullshit is pissing me off because being a police officer in training, I know that I nor my peers are racist. This entire movement is just for people to have a reason to fight.

Its more about attitude then colour I think , most cops don't want to shoot people as the paperwork is enormous but they lose it and go for the easy option in some cases.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it's a bit of both.

The problem is pretty simple in my opinion. People who want to be cops are usually the exact people who should never never ever be given such an enormous responsibility. Craving that kind of power over other humans is an indicator.

What should be done is that we should try to recruit people who are not seeking such power. They should set up job searches for firefighters, rodeo clowns, sky-scraper window washers, battlefield medics, nuclear reactor spill clean-up technicians... any job were a person has to put his or her life on the line without any kind of personal power gain, and those people who apply should then be vetted for any indication that they are crazy or have a death wish, and then those people should be given a gun and a badge, because those are just people who want to help other people and earn a living doing it.

People who have gone off to war, and have seen humanity at its worst, and who have come back with a chip on their shoulders, and who spend all day at the gym pumping iron and beating on a body bag... those people have too much testosterone and rage built up, and they should never be given a gun and a badge. Put them in the firetruck to put out fires, but don't give them the power to abuse other people. But sadly, these are the people who typically end up becoming cops, at least in the USA.

Black, white, brown... that stuff maters less than weeding out those with hate and rage in their systems, because hate, rage and power only spell bad things.
