What do they exactly do? BTW they are staff you can hire for your property.
They increase your happy.
Boost happiness, just like the other hirable positions. This is useful for training as there is a cap for happy, and with boosters if you have your PI at a certain start happy, it allows you to get very close to that cap.
PS. It is not a fully maxed PI to get the most benefit.

Could make a suggestion in the suggestion forums for a possible update to include that.
There might already be a invisible bonus. Just like the drug things which ched recently decided to show us. If we cant see the bonus we dont know its there.
They must be some sexy things those guards that make you happy...
Those wonderful guards that you can hire. They are guards. So they do the one thing they devoted their life into. Guarding. As to what they guard, ever realise no matter how many dirty bombs being thrown. How many attacks being made. Your maid, butler and doctor are never ever seen in the hospital? Need I say more?
Or perhaps it's because they do nice things like help one to not step in dog poo by walking in front, tasting one's take out before one tucks in to make sure it's not poisoned and (in special cases) holding one's hair out of the way when one is engaged in driving the porcelain bus after a big night out.

There are other guards in Torn other than those you can hire for your property... these are the guards from winning any of the lotteries and protect the winning player for 3 days after the win, preventing anyone from attacking them... very useful to have

Be cool to get a Small stat boost or the guard has like a 5% chance to get a turn in combat.
