so im noticing now whenever i try to sell something in my bazaar, theres people out there selling it for way lower than what i bought it for. i buy items at a certain price then resell for a little bit higher. i log off and then log on after a while and i see people selling the items for alot less and i cant sell my items. my question is where the hell are people getting there items from that their selling them so cheap.
JussiJernkuuk [1874922]

Traders buy at a discount from people who don't want to use the item market themselves for one reason or another. Usually because they are afraid of being mugged afterwards, probably.

i think it might depend on what item your selling.

people can find items in the city and so because they wont make any loss they can sell it for whatever price really.

They might need the money, so selling items slightly cheaper than the price they paid for. Some players hoard certain items as a ''vault''. Losing a few k on million dollar items is a lot cheaper than a mug.

Or they might bulk buy. The higher the amount of a certain item you buy off a player normally lowers the price per unit.
And the time of day. Dont forget the time of day. The more players online --> the lower the price. Cause people want to sell fast and prevent a Bazaarmug.

some people are nerding it up.

eg 'look at my bazaar stats they are really cool'

when in reality they have got those stats from selling their stuff at massive losses.

i prefer having a real bazaar and making actual play money, far better :P

I have seen people buy stuff from my bazaar and knock 25-75% off the price and sell it on their bazaar.
They look like multies/'restarters' most of them. They have tiny brains. You have to have a small brain to restart in a never ending game in my opinion.

Unless you reached your goals and you enjoy the road to reach it more than reaching the goal itself!

Starting over sounds like a nice challenge when i'm a few years older!
dunmugmeh [538353]

I have played this game for a long time and fully understand many things about it. But i do admit i start to struggle when trying to understand why people cheat or beg or restart or scam, lots of pain with very little if any gain.

It is no good being a bottom feeder! You want to be a big fish!
TTM [213036]

Cheaters--> you will always keep them. Like it or not. And much is done to prevent it or capture them.
Beg--> where there is riches to be found, some of the poor come looking with their hands held up.
Restart--> Various reasons. Wrong choices made, too many enemies that keep you in hospital, trying to reach the same goal yet faster etc etc.
Scam-->I dont like it, but as this is a game that honours the criminals it would be weird if there were no scams at all.

And on the bottom feeder/big fish part. Thats the beauty of the game. You can be all you want to be. As long as you have time, patience and patience. Some patience might come in handy too while having had a lot of patience.

Anyway, think we/I just hijacked the topic. Ill refrain from posting offtopic now.

Well admittedly I was too lazy to read more than the first few answers but it's also possible that a player does a buy mug then sells the items at less than market price because their mug got them a "discount" on the items. This is becoming less common now but still happening I would think.
