You can find multiple. Also they stay there, so if they spawn today you can pick them up tomorrow, or next year.

Every hour you have two chances for an item to spawn. You use these chances by going to the city and clicking a link from the city map (or quick links). That gives you a total of 48 possible chances for an item to spawn per day, assuming you can click every hour. As they have stated before, once the item spawns on the map, it is there until you collect it.

Really? in all my short time of 3 years playing i have NEVER known we have a said amount of "chances" per hour of an item spawning, could you back up your reply with a quote which states such "two chances per hour"? i ask this only for myself to be given some knowledge i have not seen/known before

Loads of people recently saying that its only the first 2 clicks each hour that give you a chance to spawn an item
I havent seen a quote from anyone reliable , but i havent looked

It's a fact - Ched himself mentioned in one of the update announcement threads on the old forums (where adjustments to city finds were discussed) that you have a chance on precisely 2 clicks on the city per hour - I think it was as a measure to discourage spam clicking on the city to trigger item finds iirc.

He has since said that the basic city find mechanic itself hasn't changed with the introduction of the city map, but instead of getting an event when a find is generated it spawns on the map waiting to be found instead.
