I am able to use the first 3 computer virusses. I have a cpu and bought the virus disks also. But every time i try to do a crime, even with the simple virus, i get the "you can get through the firewall" message.
What do i do wrong or what do i still need to get it working?
Ok.. but weird game engineering... i play this game now for about 3-4 weeks. I did low crimes everyday, meanwhile i can make and use 3 virusses... but still not enough crime xp to use them... pff
You're expecting to be able to jump to high tier game crimes in a few days... it's not weird game engineering, it's just you being impatient and not used to playing such a long term game as Torn.
There are people who have been playing Torn for over a decade with achievements still far out of reach for them... You're 3 weeks old...
Nah not impatient at all. I am 41 years young and playing games on a daily basis since 1982 ;) Ive played a lot of text browser games so i know its not ment to go "fast". But i would not expect to be able to "educate IT skills" that i cant use because i didnt pickpocket enough.
I think you might be mixing up the educations and the crimes. The educations give you the skill needed to program the viruses, you don't need the educations for the actual crimes. Most people just buy a stealth virus and program simple viruses for the merit.
Lol R+ for spotting one of the many leaps of logic in Torn. The game mechanics work well this way but can sometimes throw up such paradoxes! 'No officer, I wouldnt be able to pick my mugger out of a lineup despite the fact he had a flamethrower and a naval sword whilst wearing a coconut bra and a pair of speedos.' Gotta love Torn :-D
Dekoedoetboe, keep doing low nerve crimes to build up a better nerve bar, as you may notice your nerve bar cap increases due to the crime exp you gained so keep doing crimes where you get more green result(positive results, as red are negative and bile are neutral) and as time goes on you will be able to do high nerve crimes. Torn has a logic of it's own similar to reality here and there, and not some much here and there.
