i remember seeing a tutorial on rank triggers in the tutorial and guides, and it was mentioned that reaching 10000 crimes was a rank trigger. is that number still a rank trigger? i reached that number of crimes yesterday and my rank didn't change. i thought it would change during the torn new day but it didn't.

did anything change or am i just miss counting the zeros?

thanks

Crimes rank triggers have not changed, but 1000 crimes isn't a trigger. For crimes it goes 100, 5000, 10000, 20000, 30000 and 50000

The only things that have changed at the networth triggers, and another set of triggers was also added as per Ched's announcement. It's now crimes, networth, level and something else...

Still the same number of overall ranks though.

There are more networth medals now so arent the number of ranks increased too or are only some of the networth medals rank triggers? If so, which ones?

naah I wouldn't bother, what's probably happened is you no longer have high enough networth for the triggers now, but ched said they wouldn't downgrade your rank.
JussiJernkuuk [1874922]

Hmm, level, networth and crimes done used to trigger ranks separately, and the triggers were common knowledge. But didn't Ched mention a new unknown parameter that influences the ranks now?
flufffy [494285]

Yeah but if you no longer should be a particular rank (due to not having enough networth) then if you do reach a rank trigger for crimes then you won't rank up, that's what I reckon might have happened here.

And another not to log a big report is this recent quote from Ched

"Rank triggers are secret.

Rank triggers are only updated a maximum of once per day.

I don't understand how anyone can know for sure what rank they should be, because there's another whole hidden set to determine them which no one could possibly know."
sardinha [1013101]

thank you for your answers.

so does this mean that rank triggers pretty much depend on the networth ones? or that all rank triggers are "secret" and not just the networth ones?

I hit 20K crimes on Saturday and just got the rank trigger now. So I'm assuming only the networth rank triggers are "secret" now.

I did some research, as I am wondering if 10b is the trigger, and the results are confusing...

As I said, I did this to check if 10b is a trigger, so there are people with networth below 10b, over 10b and from the top with over 200b (max).
The calculation is using the old system where the first number is the rank for level, second for crimes, and third for networth. The result sometimes equals the real rank, but sometimes is completely confusing. Analyse yourself, as I have no explanation for this.

Level rank triggers are the same as what they used to be, but there are now less networth triggers and a new set of 'secret' triggers.

If you don't qualify for enough of either the new triggers or new networth triggers then you won't rank up at other triggers. You've been allowed to keep old ranks, but your triggers will need to 'catch up' in this system. This was the fairer option rather than reduce peoples' ranks because they no longer meet enough of the requirements.

alll of these players must have gotten their rank before the networth 2.0 was implemented. What Ched said is that they will not lose their rank. After theimplementation I have reached two milestones myself (one for level and one for crimes) but my rank did not increase (proablu cause I have lost a number of networth milestones)
