Well, here it is, all naked for the world to see... The framework I've developed as the base for all my Torn API programs.

It was created in Visual Studio 2010, programmed in VB .NET, using .NET 4.0.

The project itself should start and run as a program just fine, but it won't actually do anything but give you a grey box (it's just a framework, after all).

I've made changes to this depending on my various programs, but this is where they all start. So anyone learning VB .NET and interested in playing with the API - here you go!

Sorry, but I don't have the time to step through the code with you, nor do I have the time to help you learn to program. Think of this as a sample project - basically just: here's the code, figure it out, lol.

I've never used github so I'm not even sure how it works - some sort of public versioning control type thing it sounds like?

I wrote my own parser in there because the .NET ones I tried didn't work with the Torn API upon release, so I know it's not the most efficient way to do it but it works and only sacrifices maybe 500ms so no biggy.

Anyway, sure, you can go ahead and post it if you give the credit to me. If you can reference torn.daveeverett.net and [email removed] if that's a thing github does lol go for it and I'd appreciate the credit.

Cool!

I think I've downloaded samples from github but software development is really just a hobby so I don't get too terribly into it. I primarily develop simple programs and scripts to make my day job easier lol and that's pretty much it.
