I'm pretty sure the price is fixed, with the exchange rates varying the prices accordingly for different currencies

Well I read about bitcoins but very little , what I read was that this online currency jumped in price from like 50$ to 100 per coin in like two days. Is it any wonder chedburn wants them and is giving a discount upon paying with bitcoins ? Buy low sell high, their value appreciates fast. Rather use cash, maybe British pound will drop soon due to them leaving he Union or it will rise, let's see.
I have heard of this term called "bitcoin mining".
What is it about?
It's a kinda moot point at this stage, mining for anyone who doesn't own a super computer is pretty pointless...
Ye mining takes a very long time . It's basically you are allowing bitcoin to use your computer and cpu as a processor for their daily task and what not. You can not see these task but they are going on. Your on has to stay on for the entire period and it takes up your entire computers workload and your entire web workload .and it pays pretty shitty, but if you have like 5-6 ok computers with like 64 gigs of speed 1tb memory and 3gigs of Windows core i7 then you might make some money :)
^ that was the requirement 3 years ago... NOT ANYMORE
The above makes no sense whatsoever - I'm not sure how ORAN deciphered it... :o
Just as an aside the reward for adding to the block chain was cut by 50% last Saturday (July 9), so things just got a
...Maybe 6/7 years ago...I had 4 PC's doing nothing 3 years ago and looked into mining but even with decent GPU's (not cpu's) and a half decent hash the electricity used to power them would FAR FAR outweigh any cash made.
Oh that too yes, the electricity bill will be insanely high!!! Maybe consider using neighbors power outlets, or tap into city's power cable .
That makes it illegal then lol.
It's not illegal to mine, it's illegal to tap into city's power supply and your neighbors will probably get mad if they find out you been using their electricity and will sue you. Lol
Which is what I meant by illegal. Mining is legal, stealing electricity isnt XD
