Well considering we don't know the process that Admin or secretaries go through to hire someone kind of hard to comment on it. As far as we know they draw names from a hat, lots of members have been turned down from staff over the years who would of been great and others we see on staff who have abused there power or are new to the game and are pretty clueless.

There will always be staff who abuse there powers no matter the situation, happens in every game.

And you fed MK for sending a useless item that was going to be released in a couple days??

This is the inconsistency everyone is talking about.

This thread further stresses the need for a community manager that is both apart from the good ole' boy network, but not so weighed down by the development end to make mistakes that allow for distrust of staff by the player base.

there shouldn't be special treatment for staff if a civilian player did this they would be insta-fedded with no chance of coming back let alone being allowed back into a position of power

I think most normal players don't really care that much. We don't need rigid rules, what we need is some common sense. Let's give Ched a chance to show what he wants to do with the game.

But how do we know exactly what happened and If that staff member did do those things when Marc and Clansy were staff why didn't they fed that staff member instead of starting posts about it now saying they caught a staff cheating in the past and let them go and now they want justice.

why would Marc lie though he has nothing to gain (and might even get into trouble for saying it)

I'm fully expecting to get into trouble, yes, with quite possibly a fed sentence of my own, I just wanted to make the community aware and to have a lively discussion about these important changes!

If I read Marc's post correctly, the incident went down before he was admin. He was made aware of it, and informed that the staff member was fired for it. During his term as admin, Marc made it clear that he wasn't going to "re-try" cases that were already settled, so that releases him from responsibility for not fedding this player.

There is a very big difference between forgiveness and putting someone back in a posistion of power that they have abused in the past.

Edit: Nothing would look guiltier than a half assed response to this thread and fedding Marc for making it.

I don't know, why didn't he take action against that staff member and deal with he problem when it occurred or clansy. Seems like a crime like that should of seen some fed time or deleted but again a staff member got caught abusing the system and was let go and none of us knew about it. How many other staff were caught cheating in the past and let go over the years? Maybe the old staff were not following there own rules.

i agree with you the staff memeber should have been fedded, maybe at the time it happened was around the time clans and all the other staff members stood down and this news would have worsened the already bad relations between staff and memebers so they kept it to themselves (not defending staff here just stating why they maybe didin't say anything about it)
