Well do away with the forums then because if people cannot discuss things openly and without stating what they think in a non-abusive manner, whats the point?

Basically, I can say what I want as long as I agree with you, the committee, staff, admins and the owner?
McDallas [14757]

Did you want to start your own little thread maybe? Post some pics of you looking into Ched's bedroom and all that, cause you're now just derailing.

Hank's post is enough to create a reasonable doubt, if that was the standard, that he profited from insider info. I find it suspicious that an experienced trader and his entire faction would go so heavy (going so far as liquidating bank accounts which gain guaranteed interest of 11-12% every 2 months) into one stock that they characterized as a slow wave (which would freeze the cash for potentially a long time). In fairness, I also recognize that my suspicion is entirely circumstantial.

Whether or not I agree with Ched's approach or Hank's explanation, I don't think Hank's alternative is unfair where guilt cannot be proven.

If a point in time could be chosen where WSSB was available on the market and the majority of WSSB speculators had already flipped for profit, it would not be unreasonable to debit Hank and co. the amount of what they would have profited if they had sold at that time. Keep in mind the people who flipped sooner were able to re-invest the profits for around 5 months before being penalized the amount of WSSB profits only, keeping the return they made from re-investing the profits. Literally, it seems from Ched's description of the process that if Hank had immediately sold once the buy-penalty window lapsed, and then bought as soon as he could afterwards, he would be able to keep the profit from that second buy onwards.

I have a possible solution:

Solution:

To remove doubt over whether the players who were punished actually used insider information or not, just adjust their profits so that the buy price matches where WSSB was after the window.

For example if WSSB was $50 at the beginning of the window and $80 at the end and the player purchased at $60. Remove $20 times the number of shares they owned so that their buy price is adjusted to $80 putting them outside the window. To us removing $20-$30 per share may seem like a small amount but it is a huge percentage of their gains because of the low price they purchased at. This would alter their profits to match what the average player seeing Ched's official announcement would of made and that they had no advantage whatsoever whether they knew or didn't.

RANT: (just ignore this part, I'm probably wrong like the rest of the internet)

Facts:

1. Ched admits that he cannot be 100% sure insider trading took place
2. Even though everyone in this thread has an opinion whether insider trading took place or not, they cannot be 100% certain

Look, you can't penalise someone because everyone picked up a pitchfork and needs someone to blame, It's just not fair to those who purchased stock in the window and may be innocent. Ched admitted that this was a special case that required some form of action and those players lost their profits (whether legal or illegal we can't say for certain). He has also admitted that these players may be innocent, its not fair to punish them for their entire profit because people know how to post a hashtag.

Everyone here knows people hate each other and many players/factions/groups don't get along and everyone's got their pitchforks out trying to impale people they don't like, none of you know for sure that anyone did anything. So just give it a rest and I hope Chedburn looks at this solution because at least one of the people who were penalised has to be innocent and we're the reason that person got punished. The reason Ched had to just take everyone in the window's profits is because the community forced his hand, he even admitted that he can't be sure the players even did anything... I hope everyone's happy with themselves

Ched: "...But the huge amount of... suspicion, conspiracy theories, confusion, misinformation, black mark on the committee..."

Seriously? No really I mean seriously?

The whole basis of your decision was conspiracy talk? You have no proof, but your inner circle (let's just call them JFMaintainingourpowerbase) got in your ear and you decided you needed to appease them? I can just imagine the angst in the Committee forums about Relentless members using legal stock scripts.

Of course at the same time certain faction leaders from JFRelentlessaren00bswehavebeencheatingforyearsandgettingawaywithit were using auto buy stock scripts. Of course seeing they are also on the Committee that doesn't rate a mention to you does it.

The one thing this thread has shown is that the only crime of Hank is intelligence. Yes he understands the stock system better than you, in fact I have no doubt he understands the game better that you. He invested based on his intelligence, not based on some assumed insider information.

You want people on the Committee who understand the game and have players interests at heart? Put Hank on there.

I almost take it personally when you cast aspersions about Relentless, but then I realise that you actually have no way of knowing us. It's just the opinion of those in your inner circle that are in your ear (JFitsourgameandwe'llcryifwewantto).

And to the rest of the players in the game (non JFWewillmaintainourpowerthroughanymeanspossible'ers) take the warning.
Collete [1389080]

Yes he means it seriously der

Yeah dude the Illuminati/Masonic/Lizard People control Cheds actions they want to bring youre faction down.

Nothing to do with all the people in other factions that think some of youre members are dodgy as ****.
Baldr [1847600] Reporter

"I find it suspicious that an experienced trader and his entire faction would go so heavy"

Entire faction? You're a liar.

And that's what this whole thing comes down to. People like you tell lies, and people like Hank get punished for those lies.

Alexstrasza [1825532]

Yeah Baldr, it's not like there are 10-15 other members who fell below the 2b threshold that all invested in wssb as well or anything.

Uninformed and off the mark with your accusations again, Collete... what a surprise...

Keep your chin up, girl, you'll get rid of that boundless angst that seems to gush out in every single forum post you make about one of us one day... maybe.
Collete [1389080]

Cool can you posts the names and ids with negative money on hand with the others thanks :)

no wonder Ched thought you lot were so shady

Chedburn to Howsthat "Hello, Yep, I just don't trust that faction you're in. Really shady from what I've been looking at today. Sorry.".

What makes the most sense to me is to deduct any profits from people who bought in that windows up until the first big wave of selling that people did. Think I sold mine about 120 a share along with a bunch of other people, although I did not have much in it so fell outside the dollar amount.

Obviously if they were going to buy at the beginning, and hold far past 120 when people were dumping, they would of still bought shares had they had that money available. If ched is saying he has no proof of any wrongdoings and nobody is being fedded for it than how is it right to penalize them even after its obviously stock speculation not corruption?
Alexstrasza [1825532]

Ah yeah, cause I said they were BELOW the threshold to be counted in WSSBGate you ignoramus. There were hundreds of other players who invested in WSSB in the 20 day time frame who have not had their profits taken. Learn to read.
Slicers [1024778]

1) I agreed with Ched

2) investing more than half world of your networth is not a good step to invest in stock market (suddenly you made it)

3) why so confident in investing too much money in a fragile stock? why on that day? and in that period?

4) why your faction not collecting money once again to be invest in EVL stock? i thinks it will make you a lot of money based on your 'genius' well-explained graph?

5) the buying-selling pattern too 'rare' at that time especially it reflect you buying activity at that time [before and after]

Vernunzio [730674]

Baldr, I should have said "many" instead of "all," as Nash has confirmed. My bad - it is usually a mistake to speak in absolutes.

Baldr, I just said that the volume of investment seemed suspicious, circumstantially speaking. I also said that Hank's post inserted at least a reasonable doubt re: the punishment against him, and supported a compromise. I am trying to take a balanced view. When you knee-jerk defend so strenuously and call me a liar based on one word of my opinion, it weakens your point and makes you look like those raving partisans we see on what passes for news networks these days (but I digress). Hank even uprated my post, and for that I give him props, even if it was due to mis-click :D
