Streaming Torn

So i just starting streaming on twitch and wanted a community (staff) response on whether its okay to stream torn to the world.



I have noted that the active players has gone down and think it may be an amazing way to bring people into the game. what do you guys think?

Might be difficult to get viewers on a game such as this, but I don't see why you couldn't do it

i would worry about making yourself a mug target if people can see you playing live

There is a built-in function for delaying the stream.. So if OP is just taking money in and out of his vault, the attacker would still have to guess.. But that could ofc make interaction a bit more difficult.

Not sure how you could make it fun to watch tho, unless it's during a hot war or something.

Gonna agree with Destroys here. It's a bit bland from time to time. I spend most my time communicating with people one way or another... and doing other stuff.

During wars, things would be way more interesting though. Having some hot stalker-on-stalker action is probably going to be interesting, especially if you have a lot of trickery up your sleeve.

A person streaming Torn on Twitch... Why not! Maybe you could do stuff like RR or something? To keep it interesting you know! Either way I would watch you!

I would say Torn is a very slow paced game, it's about the "Long grind". It also only requires you to check in a few times per day. Because of this I don't think torn is a very "streamable" game.

I agree with Heigw, unless you're streaming gambling at the casino I don't really think there is much you could do. And only streaming the casino wouldn't have very much longevity.

On the flip side, Youtube has an open niche for Torn City, there are almost no high quality content creators for Torn on youtube. There are a few videos by Kata, Kapten_Klitoris & SweetDeandra.

I would say Youtube is your best way to build an audience with Torn, consider making stat guides, money making guides, chaining guides etc. You could also make progress videos each week on your account. There really aren't many good or up-to-date "guides" for Torn on youtube, that's a space you could fill.

You could even take inspiration from the Guide List as long as you properly credit the original creators.



TL;DR Torn isn't a game you can progress quickly on, so it isn't viable to stream, instead consider high quality Youtube guides and progress videos - nobody is doing this, it's a free space!

the thing is i wouldnt do this directly. what id do is id have a game like TF2 or something of that such and then in a break period. say between games. i would come here, check things out, then go back to the game



this would also be something that i leave up like watching the race not something that i would do actively.

In answer to your question then, Yes you are allowed to show Torn on stream, as long as you aren't breaking any rules of course! :)

I watch a ton of Twitch mainly Heroes of The Storm and Fifa, I would watch you stream for sure.

The trouble isn't content, but rather entertainment, the game you're playing doesn't matter that much.

recipe for the perfect stream imo: you either need to be super amazing at the game, really funny, like hilarious, have many many brain smarts or have an enormous set of breasts and not be shy about showing them off, throw the odd nip slip in there for bonus points. Preferably all four of course.
