I don't really know you, but since you addressed the thread to me (amongst others) I figured I would give you a reply.

I am not sure what you consider an all time pathetic low, but I'm fairly sure I could name you a lot of "lower" things right of the top of my head and my guess is so would you if you weren't this riled up right now. Riled up? Well yeah, emotions... every war brings them. Which brings us to our current situation.

I have nothing but respect for IBB and we never targeted you guys nor really used you as fillers in our big wars, and the latest few wars were actually by IBB's choice, not JFKs. The so called 500 vs 1 you mention - I know, it sucks right? And it sucked when you guys did it to JFA the first time, but you didn't complain about it then, right? It's kind of hard to pat you on the back now and say "you are right, its so not fair" when you enjoyed doing it to others and hate it when its done to you.

As far as staff in JFK goes, they are nothing but professionals in their role as most (all?) other staff are. In fact if you look at the bug thread in question you will see it was a staffer from Relentless - one of the factions helping you and attacking us that approved of that thread and allowed it to continue. If he did it, should he be ashamed now too? Should you as he is in a faction you are allied to?

Like I said, war bring emotions, emotions cause tensions to run high. Mat posted what he thought was an exploit of the engine and asked staff to look into it. He didn't say your faction did it in the way it was described, because you didn't. He said it is doable and could be easily exploited, which is why it should be looked into. Maybe you agree with his assessment, maybe you don't but it is not up to us to decide. What he did was certainly not wrong, but actually something that you as a player are supposed to do - point out potential game flaws and issues to staff and let them correct it or declare them as a feature.

I applaud Mat for his initiative and recognizing of one of potential flaws of a very new system (the more of them are pointed out, the sooner they will get fixed and ironed out), and I hope you don't take all of this too personally. Remember, these wars were never our choice. Your faction has had its fare share of backing, and if you look at the factions supporting you, I am sure you will realize that between SA, FTW, OP, DEHT, Relentless, your own faction and to some extent 39th - you have more than enough manpower, in fact, almost double that we do.

I also have to add - you have never been trash talked by any JFK member in any of the recent wars, it is simply not our style. Some others, yes, but not JFK's.

The one thing I do agree with you is that IBB held their heads high, and you should keep on doing so. Keep up the good fight, you have a lot of friends and allies to help you against us - it gives us a big challenge and we always welcome challenges. They make us smarter, they make us harder, and they make us stronger. Always remember, it wasn't us that picked this fight: our goal was to go for the bridge and attack SA. And everyone in Torn knew that. It was you and your leaders that drew us into the fight. And we will never back away from a challenge.

Hope this little note from me to you finds you well and that you feel better after reading it. If not, at least hold no ill feelings towards me and my faction. I know we don't towards you. With that in mind I wish you and your faction the best of luck in wars to come.
