Tried to log in a few mins ago and once again this two-factor authentication pops up. However, I did not receive a text message/email this time so had to go through the account recovery process. This is going to get old fast if this is going to be the standard login process going forward

I have received unusually many text messages during the last few days, but I think that the problem is at my end as my mouse is not working properly and tends to produce unintended double-clicks. When I make sure it's a normal click when I log in there are no problems. Haven't seen this theory presented before so I thought it might be worth a mention if it's something the devs want to have a look at.
Instant double clicks are a nightmare in Torn, I had the same thing a few months ago (my mouse double clicking due to it not working properly), Marc had the liberty of closing a few dozen of my bug reports because of it.
Though that was before 2FA
Just tested this myself, and you are correct... Double login clicks are triggering 2FA.

So, eventually I got 2 text messages. One ~4 hours after attempting to login and the other ~7 hours after attempting to login. Don't see any email yet

You seem to have quoted a different issue to the one I created the report for? Are both issues fixed, or do they both have the same root cause?
- fixed: triggering 2FA by double click on login button;
- added an additional request for sms/email if HTTP error occurs.
- added error logs for sending email functionality
Regarding time of receiving SMS, we can't fix it because we just use third party SMS service for this and we can't use another for now. Email should work fine so you can use it instead.
