Besides if accusations are true or not, certain privacy concerns have been raised by this thread, so as a playerbase we have the right to have an official response to this.

Ched already responded to that concern too. He doesn't have to make response here, because Champ already posted his thoughts on the subject when he posted a copy of Ched's reply to Nova.

After thinking about thisentire issue for the last couple of days, I've realized something. This is not about Champion fighting against evil corrupt staff. This is all just Champ's own spitefulness. Champ said he has known about this thing for the last two months. He also admitted on this thread that within the time he knew of this incident, he APPLIED for one of Stretch's factions!!! Why would he apply to a faction of someone he was outraged over alleged cheating! That just doesn't happen! Come on! Why in the world would Champ apply to Stretch's faction if he honestly felt like Stretch was corrupt and a cheat? Perhaps the event only became a problem when he didn't get accepted. Perhaps the sting of rejection was so much that he felt the need to lash out and cry foul about something he knew had already been resolved enough for Nova to forget about it. Maybe he thought he would rile the masses for spite.




People don't apply to factions of people they don't respect. This entire thing feels way more like a spoilt boy lashing out because his feelings were hurt when he was soundly rejected than a sincere need to find justice where none of the injured parties are asking for justice.

I didn't know about it for 2 months, i knew about it for 2-3 weeks. I "applied" to 2.0 and said if he doesn't accept me then i'll bomb jfa.

Surely if Stretch is innocent then he will come here and deny all allegations? Ched too maybe.

This thread would have been graved long ago for being full of shit and i would have been punished for staff impersonation already for faking screenshots of reports.

I'm not saying you faked anything. I am saying your motivation for bringing it to light is questionable. If you only knew about the incident for a couple of weeks... that makes it even worse! It means you applied while the information was fresh. And you still didn't care... well... until after you weren't allowed into JFA...

Saying this type of shit about someone in staff is about the equivalent of making a false rape allegation irl - regardless if it's true or not - you just tarnished the guy's reputation and now some people will doubt him, even though he's prob the most stand up guy out of all of staff.

Janet, assuming for the sake of argument that Champion is all the bad things you say he is, why would it excuse potential wrongdoing by Stretch? Or more generally speaking, should the motives of someone exposing wrongdoing matter, if it turns out the wrong has actually been done? I will be very clear that we do not know 100% that wrong has been done here, but I think there is enough circumstantial evidence at least, and wide-ranging implications (this is not just about Stretch and Champion) that giving the community an explanation would be the honorable thing to do.

Also, although the facts are not entirely clear here (by design, apparently), one thing is clear: Stretch accessed Nova's chat logs and it does not appear in any way that Nova was under investigation. Instead, the facts stated (but not confirmed) are that Nova had reported someone else for RMT.

Under what conditions should staff be allowed to access our chat logs, and how much should they be able to access? If the conditions occur, such as you reporting someone else for RMT, should staff be allowed to go back through your chat logs since the beginning of time? Should staff be allowed to share the contents of these chat logs? Should staff be allowed to formulate strategy in wars, events, etc., using these chat logs?

Also, does your answer to any of the preceding questions change based on how much of a jerk you think Champion is? You are really going to town on him. Look at all the insults you've flung at the guy over your past few posts, and he is taking it all in stride. Please can we stick to the issue and not resort to personal attacks?

I am not sure why you are derailing the discussion here? I am glad champ brought this to our attention. This issue is not just related to Stretch. Its beyond it. The fact that staffs can basically access our logs without our permission and our privacy can be breached and staff won't even face consequences.

Most of the people including me had no idea that if we launch a report against someone, the staff can basically access all our chats. This is actually quite concerning.

In my opinion Ched probably feels like he has dealt with the situation, and so has no need to say anything more about it. Stretch has already done the right thing by not posting on the thread since like I said, Ched has already dealt with the situation so why would he need to justify himself to us?

We might not be happy with the decision Ched has made, but it has been several days and there has been no comment from him, so it seems like we won't get anything.

I'm curious if it breaks any laws within the data protection act as it is private chat logs that have been looked at, but I'm going to assume it doesn't otherwise Ched would've handled the situation a lot more seriously, guessing we have no privacy rights on here, so this should really be a lesson to everyone, don't write anything personal on Torn, even "privately".
