Does anyone know how this actually works? For example, WSSB has been forecasted "good" for multiple days, Ever since I bought it even... But it's dropped 5% in the past 2 days since i bought some...

Bug? Or?

There's a lot of factors, that's only one. You can't read one without looking at them all. Any one on it's own is somewhat useless.

It's kinda like the weather here in UK . Doesn't matter what the forecast says. It just does whatever it pleases.

Sky, I think this is just one of those things Chedburn does not want to fully give out too much info on. Anyway, here's some decent reading on a quick search of the related topic... I found more, but didn't quite dig fully into the ones that appeared outdated, and some of the below may have some outdated stuff in there as well.

stop answering questions you know nothing about. read other peoples posts. they actually know what the **** theyre talking about..

do you even own stocks? and how long have you been a stock trader? jeez
Sky [380980] Committee Committee

Thank you, I've read those in the past already. I understand there are other components in play. Demand / the descriptions / forecast / trends.

Problem is, WSSB doesnt have a stable trend. ched has clearly buffed than nerfed it. The mistake I seem to have made was thinking it was done tanking and would start to go back up. High risk, high reward... Or potentially high loss. I understand all that. Probably made a terrible investment, it happens...

Maybe this is a venting thread... lol... but a stock thats forecasted good shouldnt drop for 2 days imo. Thats just silly

It happens all the time. Just cause a stock goes good doesnt mean it will go up. It is a good indicator but that is it

you have to look at the stock as a whole

Who knows... If every thing was completely predictable and completely understandable and if everything made complete sense, then there wouldn't be a game to it. I think everyone who has played in the stock markets (for a good length of time) has bought in on a good forecast only to have the price drop and continue to drop for extended periods of time. There are a lot of questions that pop to mind when facing that situation, and the way one deals with it will differ per person and will differ per their current situation. Experience in going through it is always helpful to the next purchase or investment. Vent away :) (it can be good for you) but don't let something that you have little to no control over get you down.

Stop flipping your s*** when you see my posts. Grow up.

You go out of your way to dislike and ridicule my posts, it's like you're obsessed with me, bloody hell.

Edit: And there's nothing too wrong with my post, is there? Stocks are, for the most part, random, are they not? Sure, they may be predictable, but still random.

Yeah, makes sense. WSSB is a hard one to gauge since it's been tinkered with. I'm down 7% now and it's still a good forecast. I've seen this before, just not to this extreme. Gotta learn somehow ;)
Sky [380980] Committee Committee

Still a Good forecast... still dropping. 12% down on a stock that's been a good forecast for days lol. Thanks Ched :P
Hopslam [795412]

y'all being silly! :)

I held a stock that dropped over 100% for some time and stayed well below cost for over 2 years, until it finally reached break even point again.

Or was I being silly for holding that long?
Sky [380980] Committee Committee

Good question, one we all struggle with. When do you cut losses to invest in something productive... I think you should have sold back sooner tbh. Take the loss!
