You cannot bake a fruitcake. Either you'll have to buy one, beg other players for 1, or just decline accepting the mission.
How did people get the fruitcake in the first place? I'm on the same mission
I believe it was from a Christmas event years back. If you ask around enough, I'm sure players would have some to just give away. At one point I remember having a few sitting around, I'm sure others did/do as well.
Duke missions used em all up, things used to be like $200
Theres 191,000 in circulation. Cheapest ones are 1.7 mil.
ive heard some conspiracy theorist said that just before the duke mission requiring the said fruitcake, certain someone or possibly certain group of comitee member inform their respective faction about the mission and bought the whole lot of them fruitcake from the market and effectively monopolize the market for fruitcakes.
whether this is true or not should be able to be confirmed by ched with ease by looking into the people that hold fruitcake by the initial buy outs. but either he didnt, or just didnt care that his player comitee abusing their power.
i myself find this extremely possible

Fruit cake are nothing. Dump some special fruit cake if you have the balls
Maybe at Christmas you should Papa Duke. Fruitcakes are baked for that holiday after all.
Eh. They are called theories for a reason. Fruitcakes used to be pretty much completely useless until they became used in Duke's mission. So in those days they were so common their price was extremely low. Supposedly Sharkeyfive had hoarded close to 17000 of them nearly 2 years ago. Not sure if he's still got them, (or ever actually did for that matter). But little you can do about people having hoarded them long before the mission came along. And once it did, traders knew there was no supply of fruitcakes, so it was easy for them to buy up a load of fruitcakes and sell them for a much higher price.
And apparently mug is selling cakes again, so now is your chance to get a few at low prices.
can someone please send me a fruitcake. please
who's mug?
i need one

- Soak cherries, mango, cranberries, currants, and citron in 1/4 cup rum for at least 24 hours. Cover tightly, and store at room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Butter a 6x3-inch round pan or loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; mix into butter and sugar in three batches, alternating with molasses and milk. Stir in soaked fruit and chopped nuts. Scrape batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons rum.
- Cut out one piece parchment paper and one piece cheesecloth, each large enough to wrap around the cake. Moisten cheesecloth with 1 tablespoon rum. Arrange cheesecloth on top of parchment paper, and unmold cake onto it. Sprinkle top and sides of cake with remaining rum. Wrap the cheesecloth closely to the surface of the cake, then wrap with paper. Place in an airtight tin, and age for at least 10 weeks. If storing longer, douse with additional rum for every 10 weeks of storage
