We had a chaining comp prepared for, over a period of three days. There was no warning for the changes. That i was aware of. We intended to go for the 250 chain mark, Which we require in order to progress. These issues cut us short at the 90 mark and so has rendered the efforts of myself and all our members obsolete.
Though i am aware that many were affected by these issues. I do believe that some form of apology/compensation for the disruption would be welcome amongst those who were affected. We will happily repeat the process, at our expense. But it very much is at our expense.
At the very least. Can i please be directed to an explanation, or a cause to the issues that have cost our efforts.
They made some in game changes, (armor stats and others i believe) The server disruption downed the chat and Caused some issues with a Chain we had planned and prepared for.
I'm sorry but 'chat going down' isn't one of the clauses which automatically reinstates chains - and I'm not really sure it even should be. Chat is not essential to keep a chain alive. Chains are only reinstated if an unusually low number of players are online or if an unusually low amount of attacks are being made. It was a once in a blue moon thing - Our SSL certificates expired and the new ones were not taking ahold, we had to reboot the load-balancers to correct the issue.
26-01-2018 12:05:35 to 26-01-2018 13:59:40 (chain duration) I'm guessing that it was these attacks, http://prntscr.com/i63quk After the chain ended (by your records) , But i don't think it ended for us, I definitely made attacks before it finished cooldown. The logs show that my attacks were after the chain ended. Are there other scenarios that end chains?
If the only cause of "chains ending" is the timer. There was definitely a bug (the timer was counting down, i made hits, the 90 count didn't increase) . I am expecting an obvious answer overlooked by my noobness... but i don't think that is the case
What is the purpose of the "cooldown", Is this possibly the "noobness" i feared. A timer.... where the attacks don't register..... If this turns out to be the case.... I implore you to set free the army of trolls you have, behind that firewall of yours ! Let them waste my time as i have wasted the time of you fine gentlemen!!! .......I have a sneaking suspicion i will even feel bad for the quotation marks around the "noobness" ...it is likely just noobness......
