Diving for Treasure

Diving could let you catch rare fish which can then be turned in at the museum

Why not take this to the next level, really push the boat out and make diving a thing in every country. Different rare fish and treasure everywhere, another reason to travel abroad to collect things.

There could be a set of coral species, a set of fish, a set of something treasurey. Instead of profit just being randomly generated like hunting, you get actual items which you then bring back and sell. Way more fun for everyone.

Well, that's the idea. It is diving for treasure, not for cash. Your diving skill and dive depth would determine your finds.

I second diving being at the Great Barrier Reef / adding Australia as a new location.

Travel time would need to be similar to South Africa, judging by the map.

Any location would work, the cayman's was just a suggestion and one that didnt go over very well. Australia was suggested as a new location, but even Hawaii would work...really any location would be plausible. Thanks for the comment



"The Caymans didnt seem to go over well as a spot for diving. However, ice fishing in Switzerland seems to be liked and my personal favorite, Australia. Although, that would also involve creating a new location altogether. Hawaii also seemed to be a logical choice for something like this. But really, just about anywhere could work for diving. They would all have their ups and downs.

i see we have a spear for fishing but what about once your experience goes up we can get a spear gun? after everything else is equipped like flippers mask wet suit snorkel
or is there already a spear gun in the game?

i know there is a harpoon as a secondary weapon, which i guess is the same thing, but other than that i dont know

Okay here is a question i have? When you are spear fishing will you have the opportunity to attack other divers and steal their catch? Or will the attacks only happen on land when you come back up with your catch? Is this going to be a free dive or will you need an air tank?
