what are the pros and cons to marriage in this game. I mean why should you even get married to someone?
You get merits over time and you can share a property and its costs as you can live together with your spouse. There are no real cons to marriage.
You can share properties. If you own the private island or whatever you can have your spouse pay upkeep etc. also you get merits for commitment.

some potential cons others: if you marry someone who is well hated in the game, you might be a target for bounties or attacks on the property's happiness (toilet paper, dog poop)

Pros- develop a nice friendship over time, Merits, Possibility of shared PI and costs and also someone who can overall help you in the game.
Cons- They can be dead weight and you're paying the costs of the PI on your own (aka inactive), they can be *******s and you can be targeted for there behaver, they can be one of the people who think a marriage in torn is like a real-life marriage ...they weirdos.
