I am not surprised he got banned some staff are more useless than tits on a nun. Instead of dealing with the root of the problem they just aggravate the situation more.

If by "makes the forums" you mean spews shit constantly, then you're right. The only fun you can get outta DUD is laughing at his stupidity but his recycled, delusional, idiotic whiny posts get stale pretty quick. DUD self fedding would make plenty of people happy though. I worship nobody by the way, although I do think the king of the forums, Evil-Duck, is a decent guy. 

 How hard is it for people to stay on topic? Last time i checked, its supposed to be about the ban system and whether or not it should be more transparent in the way of revealing the reason for the ban.

I feel that the lousy and uneducated staff like yourself should always reveal the reason for someone’s ban. Make it public so that the great citizens of torn can give their unwanted opinions on the decision and can discuss if it was fair or not, because let’s face it, you people cannot do anything right. 

Half of you don’t even know the rules properly and the other half make their own rules up acting like they have some sort of power on a game.

While I think it would be entertaining for staff to announce reasons for bans, its also no one's business but staff's and the player involved. 

That said, I do think a weekly list of players who've been banned should be released via newspaper or something. Because that's news I'd enjoy reading...

No, the ban chat/forum ban system does not need to be more transparent. What someone gets banned for is no one's business. Besides, those that are active in the forums or global will know why someone gets banned. It's not hard to see. Very few threads are deleted, so there is an accessible archive of mistakes.

This is most unfortunate. But all good stories must have conflict; in this case, it’s the evil staff doing the most to come between true friendship.   

This only makes the story much more exciting. I foresee a happy ending.

On topic:

I agree with OP. Bans should be public. I agree that details of the ban are nobody’s business, but at least the rule that was broken could be displayed for example “Forum banned for 7 days. Reason: Extreme Flaming”.

It’s not like anything ever stays private on torn, everyone knows everyone’s business so why not make the bans a little public for the rest to comment on?

Staff don’t do their job properly, they let their feelings get in the way and start banning people they don’t like for no reason. Half of the bans/feds are unfair and those who don’t fight back are punished for something so little.

They have different set of rules for each individual, I’m not saying all staff members do this but most are known for this. I understand they look at each player’s previous reports/actions but even then they will find the “smallest reasons” to get rid of someone who is despised by the majority of torn.

I can only see one good reason why it should be transparent, so the person fedded can't come back onto the forums and lie through their teeth about what they have actually done.  

However, in some cases what has actually been done on is so dire and illegal, the person fedded should be afforded some respect as their actions could truly affect their real life.

So in summary, no, reasons for fedding shouldn't be any more detailed than what they are, but if said fedded person comes back onto the forums and spouts BS, then a staff member should interject or grave the thread.

In other words, you would consider such an offer if more money was offered.
