It was a good run. Maybe in the future I can rejoin the bar and help out the people...

Great solid place here hops. Made some friends and had lots of good conversations. I'll try and stop by here and there to play your wicked games.

All requests have been filled and many people got extra :)

* IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT *


The time has come to end this thread's run. As I write this now, the bar inventory stands at [Bottle of Beer x175], and I won't be looking for further beer donations to keep inventory in stock at this time. We have gone through over another 37,000+ bottles of beer in the past 2-3 months since the last update and we are nearly tapped out, all from daily beer requests and games and prizes. It has been a fun ride, with many a fun games played along in here. Thanks to all who have participated and made this thread a fun little place in the little ol' Fun & Games forum. I think it is mostly just time to move on to the next idea when it comes and to leave this thread as ran its course. I won't say 100% that it is gone and done, but as soon as this last 175 beer in inventory runs out, I will be closing down the bar for beer requests, and most likely for the end.

A quick look at the stats during this time:

We have had over 500 forum pages

It has been active nearly 8 months 

I have sent out well over 4200 unique item sends (mostly from this thread)

There has been over 117,000 bottles of beer sent out

Some kind folk have also sent out 1000s of candies and plushies

There has been 30+ larger and unique games and plenty of smaller games pop up

The thread has morphed a few times, changing in format or layout, but has stayed alive and active throughout

And much much more worthy of being mentioned, but will just keep it simple saying it's been a fun thread and I thank again all the supporters and participates here in the Bar Torn City thread.

It has been awesome Hops. I think of the bar like foxxeh's old high heel club. I made so many wonderful friends  there and here too. Thank you.

Alas as with all things in life, it must come to an end,

This bar helped me alot as I learned to comprehend,

 

From the gifts and friends that helped me make my start.

This lovely bar will always have a place in my Torn heart.

 

So with that said, I request my final beer, 

Of that good ol' Bar Torn City, cheer :)

its like the last episode of a really good sitcom

you're sad to see it go, but are also oddly happy. 

I'll request 5, to keep in memory :P

If i get enough spare money, i might be able to buy a few thousand beer and run the bar for a few days. or do a few games.
