You're acting like that's not realistic. At any point Fortnite has millions of players logged in, 2.5k for a game like Torn isn't absurd.

Majority will be casuals and noobs 

20k+ daily logins in a game like this yes 1-5k in a moment is very possible most people operate under shifts in there life work, sleep, school  its not unrealistic to think that given a certain amount of driving time between these things that there are points in time were as much as 1/3 of the daily logins could occur within about a 30 min window its not crazy to think that alot of people have around the same driving distance so  + same time zone its in fact very likely.

this is a top tier text based game...its not one of those 2nd rate ones that have maybe 1k TOTAL accounts in the whole game. you gotta think also about part timers there could be as much as 2x the players vs logins per 24 hours so there could be as much as 30-50k players if you include very active with casual once in awhile login players...and then theres the not so legit accounts so yea its not a bad number.

your probably just new to a text game that has this much user traffic.

 

EDIT: there are 89 pages of players with actions between 0-15mins currently.

Use the advance search option search last action 0 - 15 mins see how many pages are there i think its like 25 people per page?

Edit just did it 105 pages of 25 people online in the past 15 mins so thats right over 2k peoppe

Just based on how many people are still active from 10 years ago, I'm surprised it isn't higher.  A few people that were in my first faction are pretty close to level 100 now.

You should see torn during elimination competition.

 

Who can believe, that 1-week old acc knows how much players really play Torn :D

But yes, some of them are multis (guessing you are one of them), so the real statistic is a bit lower.
