Bounty Reason

So apparently giving a bounty reason is talking to a person now? I put my bounty reason as They Know Y, so my would be bounty takers know there is good reason, but now Bogie says I'm talking to this person lol, what do you all think?

See this is what happens with features like this. Ched should have just made it impossible to use bounty reasons on someone that has you on their ignore list.

i dont think we need this 'reason' feature but meh

Welp, I msged ched to see whether this is bypassing or not. Let's see if he answers.

and of course, before we even have a chance to see what ched has to say, bogie does this.

For stupidity. Ched has made bogie CM and hence he can tell you how the rules should be interpreted.

for those of your just tuning in, I've been punished for putting the reason of "The Know Y" on my bounty target. To bypass a block I need to send a msg intended to the user whom has me on block? So this msg that is intended to any bounty takers is somehow bypassing the block? Please do explain further.

Perhaps it'd be useful to remove the ability to place a bounty message should the target have you on their ignore list, I can see it being confusing.

Though it's pretty obvious what is meant here, if you get warned not to do something, then just don't do it, especially when you are literally just receiving the warning...

Precisely this, not a hard concept. 

let say i got scammed by X. i chat/mail X saying "fk you dirty scammer", and then X add me to his/her ignore list.

so if i bounty him with "scammer" reason just so ppl aware that he/she is  a scammer, that counts as bypassing ignore system?

what about a drop-down menu of a select few choices for those on the bounty victims blacklist? "Scammer", "buy mugger", actually I can't think of more reasons, but yeah, flesh this out pls :D

You're sending them an event with that message, so yes, it's annoying and it's bound to happen loads for sure, but it's still bypassing the ignore feature, however rudimentary the word / sentence is.

 

Based off that, then liking there posts, commenting in their threads, or even sending a regular bounty is bypassing the block however? So I guess blocking someone is the new way to ensure you get no more bounties from them?

All 3 of those things also give an event for the user to read, same as the reason bounty, and I haven't used the reason to talk to them, so it's the same exact things as those 3.
