Ched actually asked us for reviews a long time ago. When SEO was still about putting keywords in invisible ink all over your page. These reviews pretty much was what he got.

maybe people changed name, maybe he combined some reviews. But they are not completely fake.

Here's a real review.

Something that's been bothering me for a while is the blatantly fake review of the home page.
Obviously this is for karmas benefit but is it really necessary to fake it, it's clearly not a real review since it's from an inactive player.
Considering theres tons of active real players who'd be happy to review the homepage, why generate a review from someone that spent more time on this 1 post than playing the game the last six months?

As an example, here's some active players that would've more realistically posted:
Wollongong -Active
echosummet -Active
Baronv0ndude -Active
miguel3787 -Active
Coldshot -Active
-John- -Active
Penicillin -Active -- actual reporter
Champion -Active -- actual reporter
Nadbash -Active
APOLLO -Active
megalomaniacal -Active
Dagrims -Active

This system was actually just a test of a feature google had, where it'd show a rating along with your site's search results - it didn't work, but the feature was left in place and forgotten about. The reviews are real but the names are anonymized, I'm not sure why the review date would change, or why a review date is even necessary.

Maybe we'll replace them in near-time, asking for reviews in a thread or something.
