Hey so, a friend of mine has two factor authentication on his account, but has been afk for a year, has changed his phone and no longer has the phone number associated with his account, he has access to the email associated with the account, so he can change his password, but can't login as it sends a two factor text he can't get.
Is there any way he can re authenticate himself? Thanks in advance, me.
I've had the same number since I can't remember when, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a number of legitimate reasons for others to change their number.
If he can fully complete the account recovery on the log in page he can potentially gain access, or try alternatives like email 2FA as suggested.
There's nothing staff can do on the back end to help with this. This is not information we have any access to even on a developer side as it is all encrypted - and we would never manually remove such things.
