It isn't normal per se, but if you're trying to sell a stock that a lot of people are trying to unload (FHG) then yeah, it's right.

Yes its normal. the queue you see is across all stocks and only applies to npc purchases. The player to player queue is not visible, if your shares are selling it means you are in the front of the line for the player queue for a individual stock. Prepare for many more micro transactions.
25 points daily to artificially improve your queued stock.
Then comes the day where the stock values plummet to far lower that the worth you bought it for and suddenly your stocks which were 1600+ in queue are instantly sold
