    Limit it to however many characters 2 lines are and 30 secs or even a full minute. I hate the spam there and just trying to buy a revive is painful these days.

There's a ridiculous spam war going on in Trade Chat right now between ORAN and some noob that makes the chat completely useless to all other players.

WHEN?
When can the Trade Chat updates that were promised here be prioritized and implemented???

Actually this was discussed with staff yesterday and two features were added to the list for the chat developer.

- Limit chats to 125 characters within Trade
- Prevent users from making a chat more often than every 10 seconds


I suppose more critical problems have overshadowed this for now.

Thanks - yep, we'd love to have those prioritized. Hopefully, they aren't too much work. 125 characters is generous. Can I talk you down to 100?

30 seconds at the very most. trying to advertise once a minute would be painful.

And don't you have an entire faction of revivers? :-P

As someone who uses trade chat time from time to advertise:
  • 125 is already a challenge, the moment you need to add a link to somewhere, even with a link shortener, it takes a lot of space. Lowering this even more is not something that should be done. However, that doesn't mean that more is needed either (although, as a programmer I'd rather see 128 or 127 lol)
  • 10 seconds seems like a good time, but if needed 30 seconds would be the max to advertise I think

As example, my message is 136 characters long. The text itself is almost as small as I can get without losing any information. Combining my forum posts is also not something I will do. The only way would be to shorten the links even more, which I will probably do, but I don't expect anymore to obtain a custom domain just for torn.

Your long posts make Trade Chat less usable for everyone else.

It's an ad, not an email.
