Stalk trade chat and look for ppl that are recruiting for their faction. joining a good faction that you have good synergy with goes a long way in building a circle of friends in Torn

Joining a friendly faction is often a good start :)
Join a faction, get active in chat, participate in chains, Start a small trading thread, join the discord channels, get amongst it and good luck
Like the abovesaid, strongly recommend that you join a faction
