This morning my good friend, founder and keeper of dChurch Jesus - Torn City's greatest level holder had after a brief, almost insignificant skirmish within the New Players Chat been banned indefinitely from it, without any chance of redemption.

Already at a massive disadvantage due to his playstyle, including not being able to partake in the majority of casino games, voting on Mr/Mrs Torn or flying, New Players Chat was a privilege that Jesus enjoyed. With this gone and no option for him to be allowed into Global chat it appears to be the case that Jesus is in every sense of the word, pseudo-chat banned. While he can communicate with other players directly, in faction chat and in trade chat he now lacks a medium to which he can connect to the rest of the Torn world.


Why was Jesus banned?

According to bogie, Jesus' decision to hospitalise new staff member Bapki was the 'tipping point' and action had to be taken against this tyrannical monster who was terrorising NPC. No prior warnings were given, and this was an isolated incident whereby a new staff member - who Jesus had no knowledge of being staff was attacked.

Bogie later cited that Jesus' actions (a single attack on a new, 350 day old staff member) were "detrimental to a new players experience" - ignoring the countless members of NPC Jesus has nurtured and groomed to become upstanding members of the Torn community.

What are the communities thoughts on this? Should an obvious mistake by Jesus warrant such punishment?

Should just put him in Global chat, surprised they can take away a chat but are suddenly powerless when it comes to putting him in global.

Maybe the 350 day old player that is a "Helper" has talents for which we are not privy to know. However, if it was just one time, I think the punishment is a little harsh. Look, It shouldn't matter how old one is or what role we play; everyone should be fair game. Suck it up.

I think npc should be age based not lvl based tbh

I’m not sure why he isn’t in global anyways. Almost like he is being punished for choosing to play the game on “Hard mode”. Staff should love the different styles of players. Otherwise everyone follows the cookie cutter shit and this game becomes bor-, er more boring.


Still leads to another issue I have and that is the batshit stupid rules this game creates on the fly or has had for awhile. Why people can target anyone else in the game but the moment staff feel targeted they can punish people is absolute nonsense, not that I expect any different from the staff here.


People like Jesus are the core of what brings excitement and interest to this game.

the really easy and fair solution here is to make npc days-based and not level-based.
