This thread is disguised as an autobiography, which can be off-putting. I had to fight the temptation to R- over the Amp comment. She was and always will be out of your and mine league but that's neither here nor there and any joke about how she's less than #1 deserves to be punished. Very long-winded lead up to respond to the Jesus situation, probably lost a lot of people along the way with the non-stop "You bored yet? I'd be bored if I were you. I'm so boring, I'm actually boring myself, you deserve an award for not dying of boredom."

However, props for several things. Creative way to sneak in your official response to the Jesus debacle. Everyone's always on edge to see how staff will deal with a current conflict, I respect your decision to wait until you were ready to put your two hundred cents in. It's always interesting to see a glimpse of someone's personality and where their brain wanders, so thanks for oversharing about you to the community you love so much. Bit concerned for your fingers, I'm sure they're swollen or on the brink of falling off, but I heard Jesus got some ice you could use. The universe is so crazy! Wishing you two lovebirds the best.

Congrats on a year in Torn. Congrats on being staff. By no means does someone need to be a "Torn Boomer" to be staff. Having a new set of eyes was a good move by Bogie.

Good luck with year two.

That being said...

So what you're saying is that staff need to have it set up so they can't be attacked by anyone so they can help without restraint. If that's the case then you need to get away from any and all factions, wars, attacking, etc. Basically, the core of the game is what you all need to be banned from while you are staff.

No it means staff can't be attacked for doing their job. IE I asked in chat today where to find city job and cloudjumper helped me finding it. If he got attacked because someone didn't like him helping me, that someone was breaking the rule.

A staff afaik can be attacked. But they can't be attacked for doing their job.

Bapki was enforcing the rule about not advertising anything in npc. But he got attacked for giving the warning. Coincidence or not, will be matter of perspective.

Regardless, if they have to be protected then there needs to be rules in place to keep them from abusing their positions in turn. If they want to play then they can. However, they should have to give up staff/helper status if they want to use the attacking features. Sounds like a fair trade.

I think it sounds perfectly fair that you're not allowed to attack staff for enforcing the rules. It beats having staff who don't play the game and don't know how it works, and most certainly beats having no staff at all. I'm sure there are rules staff have to adhere to.

Neither. I just think it's dumb when some staff members cry about being attacked. Especially when they are usually on a person's list for attacking.

Bappers~! Happy belated one year! I need to thank you since you heavily influenced me when i first started torn and it was due to you that i decided to stay in NPC and help the newbies out! I tried following you in your footpath to be kind and benevolent handing out guides and medication to newbies. It was dark days when you left and i strayed from the path being influenced by the devils that were -Rax- and Jesus. But then you came back as a helper and the light shined again! Your brilliance lit up the path and i regained my orientation and remembered why i was on this journey again =)
