Time zone conversion tools

Tools to facilitate time conversion.

First off TCT (short for Torn city time) use UTC +0 or GMT time zone (Greenwich Mean Time).
You can use any Iceland city as a base of comparison to convert TCT to your time zone time.

Desktop

1. Use this link : https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20200701T120000&p1=tz_gmt
2. Click add another city on the blue box and add your city and you'll see your local time conversion.
Opt. Change the date and time value accordingly to any Torn event (ex: Your faction next chain event) on the Greenwich Mean Time box and voila!

Android Alarm app

1. Download Alarm - World Time alarm on your phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simples.j.worldtimealarm
2. Tap the + button
3. Tap Time Zone → Region → Search and Tap Iceland → Tap Apply button
4. Set Date and Time (Be mindful it use the 12h a.m./p.m format)
5. Tap Create.

Step 1 : Look at local time.
Step 2 : Look at Torn time.
Step 3 : Note Difference (in my case local time is 7 hours behind Torn time)
Step 4 : Add or subtract difference when curious.

I don't really find myself needing an app for this but to each their own. Just remember simple things like Torn New Day is my 5pm etc.

Although - if you really have difficulty adding or subtracting perhaps you should shake the cobwebs off and force yourself to do it a while >.>

If it makes it easier for you it's obviously fine. For most people it makes more sense to use Torn time only, otherwise it can be very confusing to discuss stuff with your faction mates for instance.

R+ cuz you went through effort to help people but honestly i think most of us just quick math the time. 00:00 is like 8pm for me.

You've been playing Torn for 15 years, obviously this post isn't for you buddy...

Can the 'tude, dude, experience has very little to do with it. This is a baby-simple conversion.
For example: midnight in Torn = 5:00pm in my time zone.
Obviously, I am exactly 7 hours behind Torn time.
Do you really need an app to do that for you?
I sure as hell hope not.

Superfluous device-reliance turns brains to mush.
Which makes sense - if we don't use our muscles in a focused manner they atrophy. The brain is not that different.
In short, it's best to encourage people to practice thinking for themselves, at least once in awhile, and definitely for baby-simple tasks such as very basic time conversion.

TCT time is one hour behind of GMT right now because of daylight savings lol, wish Torn did that also. Would be pretty cool

sorry my b, before daylight savings the UK was using GMT. During daylight savings it is now BST. My point still stands about torn adjsting its time for daylight savings

@OP You can simply add extra clock for different time zones, if you are on windows.
