Hi y'all,

I wanna dedicate a thread to all furry friends that make us happy, laugh and feel loved at the end of the day after a long workday or just when you're feeling a bit sad...

I'm doing this because I feel a bit down today after scrolling through my old pictures and seeing my old buddy :(
He was part of me growing up for 14 years when I was a kid, he was there when I was not feeling well or had a bad day and never failed to make me feel better :))

I will never forget that week, it was the most depressing week for me since I was a kid, my buddy died on a Monday and on Wednesday I got fired from my job after 5 years of service for some bullshit reason.( Eventually the best thing that happened when I look back now and where I am now in life). But nonetheless, I went through some dark shit.

Anyway, I don't want this thread to be about me or my past depressing bullshit.

What little furry goofball makes you laugh/love and appreciate at the end of the day?

My little goofball RIP, all dogs go to heaven :')

Its been a while since he passed away but there is not a time that I will ever forget him :')

Nowadays we have another little gift from heaven :))
She was a gift from a friend of my GF
She demands buttscatches and neck scratches all day hahahah

Sorry for the long ass thread, hope I could made some of you melt a little with some cute pics and post some of your cuties that make your day or were a big part of your life :)

That would be much appreciated ;) :)))

Anyways, stay safe y'all and have a good day ;)

At 55, I've had my fair share of pet tragedies. Some rather unpleasant entirely.

But, its life. In all of the tragedies there are always silver linings.

Maybe I'll share the story of Bruno and the shooting star some day.

I’m super sorry for your loss though, I love animals and especially doggies - he was handsome asf, and dogs truly are more a member of the family than a pet.

Awwww yass! I love animals much much more than humans and there is really such a simple reason for this. Humans cheat, lie, betray and stab you in the back given the chance. Humans are often guided by greed, envy, jealousy, hatred, stupidity, a sense of superiority and faking it on social media.

Animals on the other hand are pure, loving and loyal no matter what. They will never judge you, never backstab their pack and never wish anything bad for you. This is my dog who has helped me through lot. His name is Tao.

He is only 2.5 years old, weighting in at approximately 2.9 kilograms. 100% pomeranian. The first picture is just him posing in all his majesty. Second picture shows his tendencies to all kind of treats as he is stealing couple tiny licks from my popsicle. Last picture is from my hammock setup from a camping trip we did this summer.

Oh and yes, part of my nickname is definitely derived from this doggo of mine.

Thanks man :))

Congrats with your yet to come son :))

I'm sure everything will be good in the future ;)

Not yet ready for kids but definitely planning for the future :))

Looks cute as hell hahaha :)

I have yet to have the magical combo of having a doggo and kitty that are mates :)

Do you have any tips to make something magical like that happen?

Not meaning to force that relationship as I want my pets to live a unforced and loved life but if it works, it's cute af :))

My GF LOVES pomeranians hahaha

First I was a big dog guy as I'm always afraid to step on a little doggo and doing major damage :((((
But my gf and I are also looking for a pomeranian when our work schedule allowes for a dog again.

Currently a cat is perfect for us, Bella was already 6 when we got her and was perfect as she does her own thing in our house when we work and doesn't stress out bc of our absence during the day, my gf comes home early so that's good aswell but I have often workdays of 10-12 hours a day and changing schedule.
Sadly we can't get a dog atm because of that but we are working towards a more relaxed working schedule so we can be at home more often during the day and have an awesome little furry goofball like that aswell hahaha

Owning animals is a bittersweet relationship, a culmination of joy, annoyance and heartbreak. But heartbreak is a feeling earned from sharing yours with another.

I work with animals forgotten and abused. Many animals spend their lives, and die, alone, confused and discarded. To have an animal pass surrounded by compassion and dignity is a noble deed, but often times true nobility comes with hardship and sacrifice.

Thanks for the awesome thread, nice to see some cheer from RL peek into Torn Forums from time to time.

Glad to hear that! I am sure that you will be happy with your new doggo when the time is right.

I was also the "big dog guy" for the longest time. For example in my childhood we had an Irish wolfhound in my family, which is one of the biggest dog breeds there is.. But I ended up with pomeranian as my first very own dog, because my ex-girlfriend adored this breed and I (we) travel(ed) a lot, so one of the requirements for the breed was it to be small enough so it can be taken into the cabin when flying. I could never put a dog in to the baggage section of a plane. The dog needs to be able to travel with me.

However now after 2+ years I can seriously only recommend pomeranians. It is such an amazing breed. They are very intelligent, sociable and loving animals.

And don't worry about crushing or hurting him - all of that will come naturally when you have the dog. In the first few months after I got my pomeranian I was walking this "pomeranian walk", dragging your feet along the floor. So basically you are skiing forward with your legs while making sure you do not raise your foot for the step - no possibility to crush anyone.

Nowadays I do walk normally and he knows to watch my feet. I am not overly cautious and protective anymore, I understand that he is small but I can still handle and play with him all I want - even play it rough. He loves to take a small wrestling match against my arm(s), biting playfully and just generally trying to be bigger dog than he is in reality. He is afraid of no one and friend of everyone.

I know the dog is small, but his heart is at least as big as his ego. I love this dog.
