As Bogie's Second Anniversary approaches, we sat down to estimate the influence he has had on Torn as a Game, but since we lacked a data wizard like Andyman we couldn't find any concrete figures,
but the general consensus was Bogie is good for Torn.

Like the conversations go in global, one idea led to another and we were back at the old debate of Crimes 2.0.
Two major opinions regarding Crimes 2.0 were :
1) It's a sham.
2) Chedburn is the greatest procrastinator in the world.

From these two conversations an Idea was born.
What if Chedburn hired a Project Manager to manage the backend stuff like our Community Manager handles the Frontend.
From what I understand, Chedburn does all the management himself, if a Project Manager does exist that person is doing a shoddy job.
Now i don't know the financial condition of Torn, but if it permits to have another full time employee then this is the Job Torn needs to fill Immediately.

The job of the PM shall be to manage stuff while Chedburn can fiddle with the creative side and focus on making game wide decisions.

We had a CM, now we need a PM.

What does the Community think, Do we need a PM? If so what should be the responsibilities of one? In case one is hired How will Chedburn's responsibilties Change?
Also, How bad do we need Crimes 2.0?

Chedburn does do a great job being the project manager I think If someone else handles it then the game might be ruined?

Well honestly the budget doesn't allow tbh. Real answer. Joe made 1M off torn in the first 10 years but upkeep has its costs. Additionally, Bogie does not recieve much here from it.

Torn is not pay to play community. Therefore after costs, it begins to become far to incumbersome financially. After a bit of time here, that becomes clear. Not defending Joe, but it honestly does not make financial sense. A lot of moderators do it out of the goodness of their hearts tbh. Major overhauls on this platform are not easy, and it is not a popular platform any longer.

All things considered, can things be done? Yes of course. Would putting another salary on payroll help? No it may actually hurt more than help.
100k - taxes = 67k annual. Minus bogies salary......where does it come from? It isn't there. EU taxes can be higher so I'm being conservative.

Its not a money making game. Its a special gem due to the love the community shows. Thats why we are all still here.

i don't think the commitee and the PM will have the same role.
The job of Committe is to test changes, see if they will be liked by the community.
on the other hand, from my understanding job of a PM will be things like scheduling and assigning tasks.

lmao Ched sucks at getting stuff done, so lets give him something else to do... you don't think it would take him a decade to hire in a project manager? I'd like to see crimes 2.0 before Covid35 kills off the rest of us.
