How much does it matter, like a difference of 1% in quality will it have a big difference in performance? What does it affects in weapons, does it affects your damage or crits when fighting or maybe it affects your weapons overall performance?

I wanna buy an armalite is 20% quality acceptable?

Whoo boy, don't let Prox see this thread >.>

Basically quality is how good your equipment is compared to all possible equipments of that type. Armor is easier to explain so let's see:
Leather boots will always have an armor rating between 20 and 25. The quality of the boots are a measure of its rating, ie, 50% qual would always have 22.5 armor.

Weapons. ... That's where in practical terms shit gets messy, and I am by no means as qualified as Prox to answer this (I'd be copy pasta something of his, but on mobile and CBA xD)
Weapon quality takes the average of the quality of the acc and the quality of the DMG. Theres no goddamn weapon with easy numbers for this, so Imma make up my own >.>
Let's say some weapon has an acc range of 45-55 and a DMG range of 40-50. In this case, the following is all true:
A 50dmg, 45 acc weapon is %50% quality
A 45dmg, 50 acc weapon has 50% quality
A 50 DMG, 50 acc weapon has 75% quality
.... What I'm trying to get at, is that you can have the same quality of weapon with more or less of your desired stat(DMG or acc) but significantly higher of the other. Will a 95% weapon outperform a 2% weapon? Yes. But it's not as clearcut when you look at smaller quality differences.

That leads to the whole DMG vs acc debate and ... I'm done. I'm not going there >.> Ask Prox about that one

I know and have met a lot of people in the game over the years. I get the impression many of them think/thought before i told them, that fighting is just all about the gym training.

Having great stats is of course something to aim for. But lots of other stuff effects fighting as well and gear is one of those things.

If you have your gear right/wrong it will affect your fighting permanentely in a good/bad way depending on your choices.

1 example. It is no good wearing sub 40 rated combat armours when 40+ rated armours are common enough. The best combat armours are rated well over 42.

Any good/bad gear you wear is a permanent boost/weakness to your fighting.

At your stats, not yet worth the money
But at range billion of stats and you face equal enemy?
Yeah it matters
High quality weapon is very pricey
