Is it possible to start a faction and associated companies from the ground up? Or will it die before its even established?

i know many people would advise against it due to the relative cost of advancement and the availability/achievability of ready made companies and factions but if you had the time and energy and 20 years could you do it?

Everything started from 0 at one point or another.

However, the more established other groups are, the harder it is to go from 0 to that level.

Any group that starts from 0 and gets to top level, is starting from 0 as a group but their individual members aren't. It'll be a group of established players getting together on a new project, and starting said project from 0.

I would say if you have a solid group of torn friends that can also help you run the faction, go for it, as it will be much easier to get co-leaders, bankers, and council member positions set-up.

Plus it's nice to have some people to help you recuit and be there for your faction when your busy.

With current mechanism on friebdly wall, i don't think it's an efficient idea
I do hope one day small factions can merge respects tho. That will be interesting game changer

Your problem is that you talk too much about yourself. A faction can't grow if it's just you, you need a lot of members and you will be asking them to lose a lot of potential gains building a faction from scratch. Just the lack of toleration will cost them hundreds of millions in rehab costs.

Starting faction form 0 is super hard.
All can be done, but you should know it will be hard and very frustrating at the start.
One tip if you go this route go all in and don`t have fought like:
  • task is just too much
  • it will fail
  • it is not for me
this thoughts should not bother you or you will fail, better think I building something great and I know it will takes long time and hard work.

I started a company and faction from scratch like 7 or 8 months ago.

The company is now an 8* Sweetshop, and the faction just hit 100k respect. I dont know if that is good, bad, or average. There's no measuring stick really.

Totally doable though.

Edit:
I specifically focused on training noobs and building something together as my selling points for the faction, as a 5k R faction has nothing to offer but the sense of accomplishment. You need to focus on finding like-minded people, and you need to play to your strengths. A chaining or crime focused faction is doable, but a warring or reviver faction is not.

For the company... I was able to use my factionmates as employees. Getting a 0* off the ground is very difficult because you have zero to offer, so finding loyal employees is next to impossible. Luckily factionmates are pretty loyal, so starting both together actual makes things easier on the company side.

Both my faction and company were started from scratch. Both were projects of love. It can be done, but don’t expect it to be easy. It’s not about what you can get out of it, it is what you can give to others.

Both were started about a year ago.
