    Why would we release it to only active accounts during a staggered release? That would be the same as effectively opening it to everyone all at once.

Despite what the official Calendar indicates, the release of Christmas Town is not scheduled for noon exactly. Instead, Christmas Town will be made available randomly at different times throughout the day for different players. There is no specific system in place to determine which players are prioritised for CT access, but if the universe is a just and fair place, anyone who believes that Bill Gates wants to inject Windows XP into your grandmother's oesophagus will be last in line.

The message I'm seeing is this one:

Please note that Christmas Town is not currently open to the public. Random finds, Chests, Mini-games and Santa will indicate that items have been given to you, however you will not receive them.

Will refresh now and then until it's not showing and get on my merry way :D

The opening of CT is staggered for different individuals to ensure a smooth opening. Don't worry, it won't be long!
