This is insane. I have no idea how to begin and baseball is full of pantywaist overpaid assholes as far as I'm concerned.

Moving the game from Atlanta was the worst thing cancel culture could ever do.

Why? it's a good way of protesting the deterioration of voter's rights, hurt them where the money is. not sure what you mean by "cancel culture", to me that would be canceling votes.

but maybe you are just a itsy bitsy racist, and have no better argument than calling something cancel culture while it's actually the opposite.

They are especially targeted at black communities, Yankee. Even from here easy to see, republicans don't like the idea of black people voting in general.

republicans don't like the idea of black people voting in general.

This is true, and I literally expected this as soon as Dems won Georgia. Patterns don't change.

They can't lynch or intimidate us like they used to do well before I was born, so they create new shit for suppression. So how to combat this? Hit the money, cause that marching and protesting in the street shit doesn't work.
ZickyJackz [497258]
Targeted how? Are you going to make blanket statements are actually say how this is "deterioration of voters rights"?

Cause if you're about to tell me you think Blacks are too inept to get a Photo ID, or pack some food and drink to go vote, I'm going to have to assume you're either a racist, or just ignorant.

These rules apply to EVERYONE. So I don't see how one side is being targeted. You can't even buy a beer without ID, why on earth should you be able to vote without one?

Why the f**k make it so hard to vote?

If you interact with the government in any form, and are confirmed to be a US citizen: You should be eligible to vote. You pay taxes as a American citizen and above 18, your ass can vote. Easy as that. But Republicans don't want that, because the more people that vote tend to vote Democrat. It's why they make obstacles and enact policies to make voting lines so god damn long that less people want to vote, and then punish people who provide drinks/food to the people who decided to actually wait. How can you get behind such a mentality? Even other Republicans from other states think it's stupid (Lindsey Graham). Here's a screenshot I saved for specifically this thread because I KNEW it'd come up eventually:

Also, where is all this fraud they claimed happens that makes all these extra laws feel needed? You have a President claiming this shit happened in the most recent election and they still couldn't find any. And now the dumbasses who claimed there was election fraud caused by the machines helping to ease the burden of counting votes are now being sued by those for billions of dollars. And you know what they're defense is? This is 100% factual:

Let's not kid ourselves, voter ID laws are a very thinly veiled attempt at suppressing minority vote. Many examples exist of them openly acknowledging this as part of their strategy to win contested elections.

You're right in saying that these new rules apply to everyone but they don't affect everyone equally. What I mean by this is that there isn't an equal racial distribution throughout the state. Black voters tend to live in more urban areas than white voters (e.g. Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, etc) and these are the places where longer lines are seen.

This bill is attempting to fix something which isn't a problem and as a result will disenfranchise voters.
