Ched did a poll before "Do you want Torn to be hardcore" but said he 100% will not elaborate. Some people responded with well-thought-out responses defining what THEY feel hardcore is/isn't because of that, but still mostly voted hardcore with that clarification.

Now that we know what "Hardcore" means to Chedburn, and it has nothing to do with competitive warring etc. but more to do with the "permadeath/losses" type of hardcore mechanics I thought I'd go ahead and do poll 2.0 do you want hardcore?

Define hardcore...

Perma death, so if you lose an attack you go back to level 1 with starter stats?

I mean the punitive type of hardcore where you get hit you can lose massive amounts of progression. (like with mugging scripts/caymans) type of hardcore.

I came to this game with the mentality of constant pvp and criminal ideals. Probably why I cannot trust anyone, and I'm always suspicious.

So punish players for no reason. Why not just allow the strong players to bully those out of the game and reduce the players to scripters and the elite top 100..

Ched assume scripting the most hand holding mechanic in the hands of a few is hardcore, so I doubt his definition of hard core and yours is the same.

Depending what script it is cause he apparently really hates any script that helps with eggs. I'm pretty sure even something like this is deemed "cheating"

I'm personally loving the stock market. It has completely changed my game play for the last week. Though I did stop finding eggs as I seem to be on the stock page more frequently. That part is kind of a drag.

The poll is intentionally as vague as his because I'm basing it off what HE considers hardcore (based on our current perceptions) since he never did elaborate but we seem to be seeing results of it.
