I am sick to death of all the god damned scripted shit. I just now happened to notice is XX:29 so I went to Bob's because I am a little low on beer. Waited until 1 second before :30. Refreshed. Saw beer. Clicked buy (had 100 already lkoaded) and 1000 inventory was gone. Total time elapsed less than 4 seconds.[
That is not human action that is bullshit. 100 buy limit. 1000 beers. 10 people all refresh in less than 3 seconds? Anyone want to run the odds on that?
It is not that the beer is a big deal. It is that the administration is allowing people to just run this crap like this. Seriously, you people need to get your shit together.

Auto Buy Scripts are not legal. I might be wrong but there is around 96 times for a chance to buy beer a day (Might be wrong). 96 x 10 (Amount of People that can buy 100 beer per 15 min) = 960 people, there is like 30k people or more on Torn, so yeah people want to be fast to get beer. Around 6.2k when I play, I would say at least 10-20 people are trying to get beer every 15 minutes if you haven't bought it already.
People use script to buy beers? Isn't it a bit much lol? Search my old post regarding how to buy halloween basket with mobile phone. Iirc i posted in GD. That one was done with Tornapp (you can't use script with tornapp). GL
If that is true, then the server problem is even WORSE (as in more unfair). I refreshed in 2 seconds and clicked buy and it was empty which is why I assume it was 3-4 seconds total to my click. This is ridiculous. This is a less expensive version of the mug problem (nowhere near as egregious and not exacerbated by the captcha and other issues but the basic timing fairness problem applies.)
I would never try to be faster than 4 seconds. Just not worth it to me. If it is worth that to others, god bless them. Again, the logs will be there and if an admin checks it and tells me I am wrong, then so be it. We have a specific incident and a specific time stamp to look at.
I can't get better internet. I have on provider in my area and I have the max subscription.
I doubt someone wrote a script for that. It is something with a more general use that someone can set to that purpose if they want to. Most things are adapted to a purpose not custom designed for that.
Just a small tip I learned in my newbie days, The beer doesn't exactly restock at xx:00, It does around xx:08 so refresh around 2-3 seconds before that depending on your internet so you can easily grab them.
