I'd been doing this previously, but life's been a mess lately, so I ended up being even more late than usual to the update, to the point I can't bump that thread anymore. I hadn't seen as much interest in it as in the earlier days, so I'd been postponing making the new thread if only because of the awkwardness of "oops i delayed and now i can't even bump it", but someone messaged me in relation to the thread, and I figured, might as well focus on that. I'll quote myself from the old thread, for those who aren't familiar:

I wrote about this on an article a long time ago, but going to elaborate anyway - in level HoF, people within the same level are ranked by their exp. This means the closer you are to the next level, the higher you will move within your own level. Level holding does not stop this, so the highest of every level are almost always holders. So, the level holders with the most exp will become the top of that level in HoF, and one will hold the position of #1 of that level, being the highest in exp, with the lowest from the next level being directly above them. This does not mean they are the strongest or the oldest, just the one with the highest exp out of everyone on that level.

Does level holding affect xp gain?? WIll you get more xp if you hold levels and/or will you get less experience if whoever you're attacking is level holding?

tl;dr does xp gains go off of true level or real level

Your own level doesn't affect the exp you gain from attacks, as far as I'm aware, so only the level of the person being defeated matters. So for example if you attack a level 30, you'd gain the exp you'd gain from beating a level 30, even if their true level is 100. Presumably the same way respect works, even with max fair fight, level holders are only worth the maximum possible respect for their current level.
